When you upgrade to vBChat 4.8.3 do you still use the vbulletin36CMS.php that comes along with this mod or do you used the upgraded vbulletin36CMS.php that is included with FlashChat 4.8.3?
I'm using vBulletin 3.6.8 patch II. |
If you are using this mod then you must use the vbulletin36CMS.php file that comes with this.
|
The problem is that I do not find where to place my additional usergroupid numbers in this new included version of vbulletin36CMS.php
The stock version of vbulletin36CMS.php has the following... Code:
// Usergroup Definitions EDIT +++++++++++++++++++ Good grief I found it! I'm not used to all these modern conveniences like having "FlashChat Permissions" in my ACP usergroups. AARRRGGGHHH!!! I feel dumb. Thanks for the excellent work Paul. +++++++++++++++++++++++ Can anyone take a stab at explaining the difference between "No Chat Access" and "Banned From Chat"? Are the results the same, but only with different connotation? I think my original deal of adding an additional Subscriber privilege group in /inc/layouts just got more complicated, at least to me... http://forum.tufat.com/showthread.php?t=26597 |

Although noone is in the chat it seems not refreshing and displays many people inside chatrooms. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance for help.

I had this hack installed with no problems sometime ago. I uninstalled it, now I've reinstalled it. The only usergroups that seem to be able to access the chat is usergroup 2, 6, 7, and 5, althought I have usergroup permissions configured in the specfic usergroups.
I'm at a loss, any suggestions would be greatly appericated. |
Are you sure you re-installed the CMS file from this mod, not the default flashchat supplied file.
|
I got a "Invalid File Specified" when I have tried to upload the xml file via the cp. Any ideas?

would someone mind PMing me the descriptions for flaschat permissions?
Specifically "No Chat Access" and "User Level Access"... What is the difference? I want to let people come in and lurk in flaschat, but not post messages... how do I do that? |
No access is exactly that, they cannot enter the chat. User access means they can enter and chat. There is no "lurk" option.
