Hi there are you talking about the .htaccess inside the public htm folder? or inside my forum folder? Ive done it to the .htaccess inside the public folder..,

I can't seem to get this working and get an error 500 when I try and access the admin pages.

I have VB installed at the top level and don't use /forum/ - could this be the problem?

I noticed that there is a .htaccess file in the data folder that states (deny all).

I can run the script from the scheduler, but google can't access it, as the .htaccess is blocking it. I've tried to remove it, but the problems are still there.

Any ideas?

Hello,

For the extra URL that we can add, is it okay/safe to add other website URL (outside of the forum domain)?

Have this installed and seem to be working great.. Followed the instructions to the T

ONly thing is, on the scheduled time to run. I have it emailing me. I see that it runs 13 times, I double checked the log and sure enough, it shows the same log info but runs anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes apart.
Any ideas?

So did I, but yet it doesn't seem to want to work. I get a daily email saying that it works, but I can't see where the sitemap is generated and neither can Google.

The instructions need to be a little clearer I feel.

Danny.C,

please check what is around line 515 in vbseo_sitemap_functions.php file in your case.

CP,,
.htaccess file should be located in your vBulletin folder.

cheekymonkey2,
make sure that your host supports mod_rewrite AND allows rewrite directives in .htaccess files.

although the files are stored in vbseo_sitemap/data/ folder, you will submit them like http://yourforumsroot/sitemap_index.xml.gz (this is possible with mod_rewrite rules in .htaccess).

Kwak,
you can add only the URLs within your forums folder (other domains are not allowed by google sitemap protocol).

ComputerVitals,
make sure that you DON'T have minutes set to '*' in Sheduled task properties. You should set it to '0' (or other number). Otherwise it will be executed every minute.

siriuxs,
vBSEO Sitemap Generator is not encoded with Zend, so you don't need any additional libraries to be installed at your host. This is probably related to other product you are using. If you mean vBSEO (not Sitemap Generator), please open support ticket at http://www.vbseo.com/support/

SaN-DeeP,

thanks for details. As I see, the /vbseo_sitemap/index.php URL is 301-redirected to /vbseo_sitemap/ which prevents you from being logged in correctly. Do you have any rewrite rules setup in .htacccess or httpd.conf for this?

But, when i run the script I receive this error:

Why :surprised: :surprised: :cross-eyed:
