Anyone have any advice on the above problem?

ALSO, is there a way to give a usergroup moderator priviledges in Journals (like to delete/edit someone's comments or entries)? If there is, I must be blind because I can't find it.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PRIVATE, expecting ']' in path\journal.php(978) : eval()'d code on line 48

Ok.. Yea.. So I got impatient.. And looked through the entire thread.. Very painful.. Only to find one suggestion to fix this which was on page 39, post 578

Moonclamp.. Have any issues since doing this???

I had this on a few templates

I fixed it by searching for this

"$journalinfo[private]=='1'"

and replaced it with

"$journalinfo['private']=='1'"

Might not be the right way to do it, but it sorted out the problems

Open up includes/config.php
Browse to the bottom and set the admin id number to that of your own admin number IF you are NOT number 1...or add number 1 in the missing areas if you are number 1. There are several diff options...do this for them all..
Save and upload...the journal admin appears!

Two days and it was that simple..ugh!

not sure anyone report this problem before...

when edit the entry and keep the original mood's name after edited the post about the
mood's name part double show?anyone know how to correct this?thanks...

I'm using the mod_rewrite from DaniWeb for my forum (http://www.daniweb.com/techtalkforums/thread35147.html).

Can anyone provide what rules I should use to make the journal pages search engine friendly? Would I need to place the hook into the same place (global_complete)?

Thanks,
Craig

I don't know hun... I just know that the hack creator strongly advises against using the journal on mysql 4.1 + and php 5.... both of which my host provides to us, and have no plans to change *sigh*
my members are practically begging me for this

AN-net 03-10-2006 07:05 PM

just an update on vB Journal 1.5, i have been very busy and unable to get much headway in Beta 4 but this weekend I will be working on it.

What is the problem with the latest versions of mysql and PHP????

I have PHP5, and the latest mysql and apache on my server, and I'm testing out a huge board hack, and now this ones broken unless you have old outdated versions of software?
