It may not be super advanced but it is original, unlike most (notice I said MOST) new hacks released here.

The Tetris Leaderboard hack was original. I personally would not have thought of that.

The arcade was more or less an expected expansion.

Secondly, I do know the value of money. I have a job, and I try to earn money by means of webdesign.

I will not go to a homeless shelter and try to sell food there though. The people there expect the food to be free, and that's how it should be.

Just in the same way, people at vB.org expect their hacks to be free. Granted there are exceptions, and if the hack is of supreme quality and the price is fair, most wouldn't mind paying.

Perhaps you shouldn't try assessing people based on their opinions.

I can honestly say that you really are a pain in the arse fella.

Comparing a homeless shelter to vB.org is the worst idea I've ever heard of - but even if what you are saying it correct, what you have suggested is that taking fine wines into a homeless shelter to sell is fine, because they are of quality (with a stupidly high price tag i'm guessing) but taking affordable food, with an affordable price is wrong??????

You have taken a small misunderstanding (your own that is) and blown it out of all proportion. next time, try reading the posts before you make any comments.

vB.org is a "Hacking" community, regardless of if the hack authors charge or not, it's the premier location on the internet for people looking for hack to vB. it's only cheap-arses like yourself that demand it be free!!!

I know. I never saw 2.6 to download it.

And Lanigironu, it was original being an expansion from it. Either way, it is still original, he still put ++++loads of work into it, he still should get the diserved credit.

Link, check PM inbox.

Ninth, go easy on Lanigironu - he's (or she's) just a kid.

I just want everyone to stop bashing John. He did all the work on the Tetris hack and he really wasn't even going to give the arcade hack to anyone in the first place, you should be greatful that he allowed some people to get it.

DrkFusion 08-28-2002 12:55 AM

I really think if a hack was super special it would be ok to sell it, but I don't see anything special about this, sorry, its maybe because I don' thave a use for this, or find this pointless.

I also don't know why this would be a use for more people that have boards, that have topics related to computers, family, etc.

Well, what is the difference between doing this with a hack and selling buttons and styles? Because no one ever bashes people for selling styles for $100+ but when someone tries to get a good hack out there for about 1/10th the price everyone acts like it is a crime or something.

DrkFusion 08-28-2002 01:02 AM

You got it wrong Link;)
I will say it again in a easier way to understand.

I don't know why a very large portion of the vb community would want to use this, as they see no point to even bothering to download it, mainly because they don't havea use for it.
Styles, those are a bit different, as they have a universal purpose, and are used to bring creativity to sites.

This just brings extra loads, and some problems, along with a +++++y unsupported attitude.

Link14716 08-28-2002 01:06 AM

Unsupported? He spent 6 days straight with all the support needed, from incorrect instalations to people's requests.

It does serve a purpose, it gives you members something to do. After I installed it, I went from bored members to happy members, because they were competing in Tetris, topping each other's high scores. If I made a forum about all of this, it'd be filled with happy members :)

But even your post doesn't change the point of mine. It is still useful, even though it doesn't cure cancer.

DrkFusion 08-28-2002 01:11 AM

I may be wrong about the support.

But it still stands no where, thus giving it a catagory of pointless, my views, my reasons, my law ;)

Learn to live with it, becasue I will be ruling the world within sometime.

Anyways, I may be wrong about this, but it still stands as pointless when leading to a specific topic, maybe this will be useful for gaming, and maybe for sure it does.

There seems to be only 2 people who are supporting this guy, and both of them have his arcade thingy.

*Don't worry I know what he sent you in pm ;)
