Normal usernames, no special characters. Examples: DrMath, gear, Awkiez, Once.

It's inconsistent as well. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. We have no mention limit per post, and editing the post does not help, nor does using the MENTION tag instead of using the @ symbol.

Just installed version 3.1.4 to my vB 4.2.2 without issues or errors.

I've successfully tagged other users. Users are getting the notification email. However, when I was tagged I ran into a small issue. Upon logging in to the forum, I see the notification window with 1 messages. The notification says I was mentioned 1 time. When I click the notification, I get the following error.

installed it but no notifications !

another issue :

/admincp/usertag.php?do=maintenance
/admincp/usertag.php?do=forum
/admincp/usertag.php?do=options

shows blank page !

Is it good to be us in vB 4.2.0 without error?
We really want this in our forum.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for modifying the lite version so that the quotes and mentions tab only show up on your own profile and others can't view them?

Please make sure display_errors is turned on in php.ini.

We've heard no reports of compatibility problems with 4.2.0, and we're running it on 4.2.3 Beta 1 no problem :)

If I add format to the text then this hack will not work
for example (@username) will not work because it is with color and bold

Is this normal?

Yeah, that's normal. You also can't immediately precede it with a character, e.g. [quote]@username won't work, but [quote] @username will work :)
