Pablasso,
you can use the following code with lighttpd:
Quote:

url.rewrite-once = ( "^/(sitemap.*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)" => "/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1" )
CP,,
you can set the password (access code) in vB admincp->Options->vBSEO Sitemap Generator options

For more information on Google Sitemaps:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/si.../en/about.html

The Yahoo sitemap must be manually submitted to:
http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request/

I couldnt understand if somebody could tell me exactly what to do?

Also where and how do i submit? i went to that Google page and Yahoo it asks for logging information?

Sorry but i dont understand what you mean wholly? I went to sitemap generator options.... there is no password field i read the "Direct Script Run Code" do i put password in there? i put password in there and then i went to: http://www.MYDOMAIN.NET/forum/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_sitemap.php?runcode=*mypassword* it says:

"Cannot run sitemap generator directly: you should set "Run from vB Scheduled Tasks Manager ONLY" to "No" in admincp to allow this."

I know ive set the auto schedule fuction, everything looks ok but i cannot view my sitemap? i got an email from 'nobody' in report it said:

Report:
============================
Click the following link for your vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap Report:
http://www.mydomain.net/forum/vbseo_sitemap/

after i click on it i get page not found?? but the email says its done this:

Summary:

So with google https://www.google.com/webmasters/si.../en/about.html i need to make an account first? and yahoo also? One last thing to summarise how can i check if this is working? cheerS!

Yes, that is correct.

There is an option "Run from vB Scheduled Tasks Manager ONLY" in vB admincp->vBSEO Sitemap generator options, please set it to "No" to allow manual sitemap generation.

Yes, you need google account to submit sitemaps (you have one if you are using any other Google services like gmail). You will submit these URLs for Google:
http://www.mydomain.net/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz
http://www.mydomain.net/forum/sitemap_1.xml.gz
etc

You don't need account for Yahoo - just submit http://www.mydomain.net/forum/sitemap.txt.gz at http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request/

http://www.mydomain.net/forum/sitemap_index.xml.gz
http://www.mydomain.net/forum/sitemap_1.xml.gz

Hi!

mod looks terrific!

But before I install I have a little question. Is there a possibility to run the cronjob from your vBinstallation, instead of your server?

HI!

I have installed this hacked on my vBulletin Forum!

When execute the index.php file from the "vbseo_sitemap" directory i received this error messages:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '}' in C:\server\xxx.xxx.xxx\upload\vbseo_sitemap\vbseo_s itemap_functions.php on line 515

My Server is Windows Server 2003 (IIS 6), PHP 5.1.4 and MySQL 5.0.21

Thanks!

CP,,

make sure that you created .htaccess file with rewrite rules as described in installation instructions.

Eagle Creek,
you can use vB admincp->Shedule Manager for this (details are included in the description)

Danny.C,

perhaps you have an upload error, please try to reupload all files again.

Danny.C 06-05-2006 05:32 PM

The problem is not upload files... The mods is run on localhost server. Thanks
