Hello,

I tried to use the thread-seach but without luck.

My request: Is it possible with this mod, to chat only with your added buddies?

Similar to the facebook-chat.

Well currently no but you are able to ignore some users.

Anyway this could be an added feature for a next version, I am putting this in the todo list.

Well it's not a bug at all ... It just a problem of correctly reading the instructions. ;)

You can't consider something as a bug if you don't follow the path.

Let me explain why this happen if you don't remove the files prior to the chatbox uninstall.

Well basically vBulletin automatically retrieves the usergroup permissions fields from xml files located in the includes/xml directory. But in order for these fields to be updated when saving, you have to have added a field in the mySQL usergroup table corresponding to them.

So if you remove my product this table will not be there anymore but due to the file being still present the fields appear in the usergroup permission page.

See the problem ?

Try having a higher refresh rate to see if the issue is a problem of loading the chats before the next loading happens.

Can you tell me how to fix this loading problem?

I spent about 1 hour reading through posts earlier and even tried the search this mod function but i couldnt find what to do...

Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I have installed it and it appears fine but the status just stays loading...

Ive read in a few peoples posts about a fix for it but i cant find what you need to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ok, after doing a fresh install of v2.1.0 and specifically selecting the English language file, I have a french menu in the admin panel. what did i miss (besides high school french)?

When importing the language file i chose to overwrite and existing one, logged out and back in again and the menu was changed to english!

after an update, the chatbox doesn't work with FF3.0.5!
Using IE6 -> evrything is fine,

when i go to the archiv --> i can see the shouts, but even not in the chatbox!

When i send a shout -> the loading image runs, and runs, and runs ... but nothing happens!

I 've installed the newest vB-version 3.8 with PHP Version 5.2.0-8 and mysql 5.0.32.

This mod messed up all the themes I added. I tried to fix it but just lost the chat box altogether. So I've uninstalled this one & decided to go with another.

Ive used this shoutbox on other forums and i really want to use it on my own but ive been trying to get it sorted for nearly 3 days now...

Whenever i enter a message the shoutbox just says loading all the time, does anyone know how to fix this...

Just wondering since it appears there are lots of reported bugs and lots of little fixes here and there. When are you planning on updating and putting up the update here?

Reading through 250+ pages of replies is hard going!

I can see that but I got an error when I activate the notification system and the chatbox stays on loading like forever.. :confused:

Ok, I tried it again, the permissions are ok!

The problem is, if I disallow all format-options for users in the usercp, than comes this problem, it need at least 1 option. But would be nice that it works without options for users to format their shouts.

Ive been trying to "support" for 4-5days and i still dont have an answer.

Ive seen it working and its a great shoutbox but useless if it doesnt work!

We had few problems and there are now fixed you can see it live on forumcoding.

can anyone help i uninstalled MGC Chatbox evo v0.3.0 and i got this error

i didnt like an idiot remove all the files before hand, what can i do to get things back working

1 : Well if you had scroll to remove a shout then it's normal the chatbox stop scrolling automatically. Is it what you did ?

2 : You were having the chatbox totally scrolled at the bottom and then posting an image stopped it from scrolling ?

I really want to use this mod. I didn't have any install problems or anything, its just that sometimes it just sits there on "loading", especially if you navigate "back" to the FORUMHOME page from some other page. The little "circle of dots" just runs in an infinite loop. A page refresh usually clears up the problem, but why is it happening? Another way to replicate this error is to go up to the address bar, highlight the link and hit enter, or to click on the "Forums" Link in the navbar.

Another quirk... Why does the chatbox "jump up" on the page when it actually does finish loading? -> Related ... If you click the refresher in the chatbox, the loading goes away and the chatbox shows chats like normal, but the chatbox doesn't "jump up". This is why i think it might be a bug.

I tried the latest version, and then the versions before it. Same issue. My hosting is HostGator Business Class. I wouldn't think that would be the issue.

BTW: I wanted to point out that I HAVE HAD NO OTHER ERRORS. The product works fine 75% of the time, but that other 25% (at least once per session) I get this problem with the loading...

my latest posts are at the bottom. After deleting f.e. the latest post at the bottom, the chatbox stays at the top of the chatbox and doesn't scroll to the bottom any more...

It doesn't really stop scrolling. But it doesn't scroll completely to the bottom, so that you can only see a part of the image that you have posted. If you want to see the image completely, you have to scroll a little bit manually...

Well, for the image I think it's because the image is not totally loaded when added into the chatbox and thus the chatbox scroll but to the current displayed height of the image. See what I mean ? So the chatbox is not able to scroll totally.
Unfortunately, it seems impossible to me to overpass this issue.

For the delete issue, I think I know why, I am adding this to the bug list.

when in the chatbox a word with accent is written, the chat it does not visualize the term and does not allow to insert other...:confused:

Any idea?
