Yes, you can use the usergroups for that.

Thank you but there is no such option in the downloads section in the usergroups.
And I don't like to make several usergroups just to let them switch usergroups if they meet some requirements.

Can't wait for the new version for vb4. Currently I can't upload with this mod because it keeps the mysql database open for too long. It'd be amazing if you're actually working on using vb4's current upload system with this because it has a status bar and the works. Good work! Once it's done, chances are I'd like to get it branded free :)

What I would really like to see is the possibility to tag the downloads with several searchable tags, and then a tag cloud at the bottom of the main page.

Some things I would love to see in Downloads are file mirrors and certain mirrors only available for 'premium members'.

I can't wait for a vb4 version to be released. It's the only reason I haven't moved over to vb4 just yet as my site relies too heavily on the downloads section.

dl mirror are nice ideas yeah and better having a error msg showing the link are only visible for usergroup X

Set "Allow Comments" to Yes in the DownloadsII settings, next to the usergroup permissions.

I made this for my site. Each file has a "relation" number, and if two files has same number, they are related. If the file has related files, they show under description. One extra SQL query.

I know it's a PITA with all the "when is the vB4 version coming out?" questions but can you at least tell me if I should start worrying about an alternative way to get downloads to my members or if something is actually in the works. I need to upgrade but cannot do so since I don't have any idea what is the status of this mod.

ditto, we all appreciate your work and this mod really is awesome. But as many webmasters here we cant upgrade our forum to vb 4 since we heavily rely on this mods. So yeah we would appreciate if theres a possibility yo provide a eta for the update

yup, as carrlos said. my forum is only there because of your mods =) 90% of my users are on my site because of the downloads

Does DownloadsII include a file upload for normal forum users? I mean is it possible that normal user could upload something to the server?

@Jelle: On my forums an old error is suddenly showing up:
Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing.

As far as I can see the templates are OK and security tokes settings are in there. The only thing I did was to upgrade vBA CMPS to 3.2.1 and upgraded vB from 3.8.4 pl1 to pl2.
