I installed the latest lite version of shoutbox last week. It was located under the navbar in all the forums pages (which is what I wanted). Now it only shows up in the forums main page. I've been testing different things in vBulletin 4.1.3 and I think I messed something up.
How do I get the shoutbox to appear in all the forum pages (under the navbar)?

Yeah it does :)

To put vBShout in a custom location, do the following:


Step 1: AdminCP -> DBTech - vBShout-> Instance Management -> [Edit].

Step 2: Change the Auto-Display Shoutbox setting to Disabled.

Step 3: Write down the the Varname setting. For the default shoutbox, it's instance1. The rest of this guide will assume you replace instance1 with the actual Varname if it is different.

Step 4: Enter the Style Manager and add either {vb:raw show.vbshout_instance1} (vB4) or {$show[vbshout_instance1]} (vB3) to the templates you wish the shoutbox to appear in.


Follow these steps as described and you will have total control over the position of the Shoutbox.
Please note that some locations may not work as intended on vBulletin 3.8, and also note that it is not designed to go in the Forum Blocks side-bar (vBulletin 4).

I downloaded the lite version and had trouble installing it (because I'm just not good at this) and asked for some help here on the thread. Almost immediately Fillip was onto it and emailed me and was a tremendous help. The lite version is great and after seeing what it could do I upgraded to the Pro version and AGAIN stuffed up the installation. Not to worry, Fillip was there again to help me. He was fabulous and helped me way more than I expected. I wish my web host was so helpful and quick.
