@Free: just wondering: it's possible that this hack makes my board slow?

@Spread: better 100% :P

news about a new 3.7.x version of this marvelous hack?

Can someone please check the Google video code?
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...23880622971014

Somehow it's not working for me. Thanks.

P.S. still using it on 3.6.8 patch 2

I have it installed to 3.7beta4 but found a BBC issue.
I just tried to post [CODE] in the forum to show someone basic use of PHP variables.
The problem is that the $variables disappeared after submitting.
Example:
Code:

$my_variable = "my_string";
After submitting the post, it displays as shown below:
Code:

= "my_string";
^^ removes the $my_variable
Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?
Is the PHP parsing within the forum for some reason?
It does the same thing with [QUOTE],[PHP] and [HTML]

can any one help me to find out why the below code is not working? Dailymotion already came pre-installed but not working with the below link. Thanks.

Is there a way to adjust the video size instead of the box?

Hi all. I've searched this thread to see if someone has had previous experience with this but to no avail.

My setup is vB 3.7 beta 3 and I have the latest version of AME installed at the writing of this post. All URL's I've posted (along with other users on my board) has been working like a charm. Until yesterday that is. We've tried all sorts of different embeds (only YouTube) and all work except this one (extremely funny video). Trying to view it "embedded" you get a "this video is no longer available" message. Viewing the clip directly on YouTube works like a charm. Here's the adress for the clip (exactly the one wre trying to post):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxhrJrL20_8

Any help on this matter would be great. Mind that this is the only URL that doesnt work. We've tried loads of different YouTube-videos and they all work.

The few times I've seen that happen is due to a problem on YouTube's end. Even if the video plays on their site.

The link you posted tells me that this video is not available in my country. That's probably the problem.

Daily Motion URLs should look like this, otherwise they wont embed:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3f2az_soi-day-chuyen-dinh-menh-2newchunk2_shortfilms

I thought that should be more simple step to get dailymotion. I am to go through bunch of steps to get that link? Do you have any other better or faster way to embel from dailymotion?

Okay, first off, you shouldn't have to go through any steps. All your supposed to do is post the link that the video is displayed on, and AME will convert it into an embedded video. For example, here's the link I posted above: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3f...nk2_shortfilms See? Nothing special, it's just the page the video is on.

Second, Daily Motion changed their URL structure since AME's initial release. Go here, and get the updated Daily Motion XMLs, and your videos should embed just fine.
