Andreas I have pm'd you my site information - I can not get this to work - everything shows up fine except for the check box to allow the event to be created. I have reinstalled everything and followed the directions 100%. I have cleared cache, triple checked permissions and had another usergroup try.

Please assist when you are free.

EasyTarget 12-07-2005 09:40 AM

does anyone have this working on 3.5.2? I can seem to get everything fine except the newthread template where I can select to post a vbookie event.

Took me approx 10 seconds (using the seach function) to find it:

EasyTarget 12-07-2005 09:53 AM

Tested this on the your test forum and unless permissions don't allow registered members to set events on your test forum then its not working there either.

Andreas 12-07-2005 10:34 AM

It's not installed on my testboard at the moment .. at least I think so.
*checking*

Andreas 12-07-2005 11:08 AM

Installed now and apparently working fine. All Templates, Files and Plugins (vBookie as well as vBulletin itself) are default - except for the navbar edit, which I changed to use sessionurl_q

I guess I was looking for more specific instructions.

EasyTarget 12-07-2005 02:14 PM

dang kirby.. you just did everything exactly as the readme for 3.5.2?

I can't figure out why its not working for me in the new thread portion. I have it on a 3.5.1 test board and it works but on 3.5.2 when I create a new thread I don't have the option to add a vbookie event. (yes permissions are set).

any tips/suggestions? I've reinstalled a couple times.

Andreas 12-07-2005 02:29 PM

Check permissions and template edits is all i can say.

EasyTarget 12-07-2005 02:57 PM

ok, guess it was something with the bitfields. I saved the permissions but it kept resetting them, so I rebuilt manually and it then saved the settings in the usergroup manager and it seems to be working now.

Thanks.

I have the same problem as CAL i think? i select Administrators group, set all the Permissions to Yes, update the page but it all reverts back to No The same happens when i try to update the Registered Users also?
If it has to do with what you say here "admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields" could you please be a little more specific as to what i need to do.
Thx

Trevor Hannant 12-10-2005 10:59 AM

Will be giving this to a specific usergroup and only for use in a specific forum. How do I set the Navbar so that only this group sees the vBookie link when they're in that forum?

Did you uncheck the option above the pay out date that says to use the same date as the 'close' one?

quick question, i installed and it integrated fine. When i go to user group settings to enable to post events, edit events and bet on events there all defaulted to no.I select yes for each one and click update. It goes back to no for all.Any ideas?

peterska2 12-11-2005 10:45 PM

try rebiulding the bitfields by going to /admicp/index.php?do=buildbitfields on your site.

bashy 12-11-2005 10:46 PM

try this m8 admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields

Bashy

m80 12-11-2005 11:00 PM

rb290 12-11-2005 11:45 PM

i have vB 3.5.2 and you cant use Rep Points anymore ?
i have to use vCash but i like the Rep Points

rb290 12-12-2005 12:57 AM

can you do something so it works perfect for 3.5.2 cause im real confused !
vbookie isnt working for me right now, and the file edits i did got overwritten when upgraded to 3.5.2, and when i try to edit them again i cant find what needs to be found cause the files are different now after the upgrade.

Oooops. Thanks, the permissions are holding now.

sickstrings 12-12-2005 03:30 AM

I'm still not seeing the option to create an event. I am the administrator and have my permissions set. Any ideas?

btw, I reset the bits, my permissions are set and aren't changing back anymore.

Andreas 12-12-2005 03:50 AM

Check your permissions.

EasyTarget 12-12-2005 04:32 AM

is there a way to reset everyone's points, like to begin from scratch again?

also is there a way to set the default event creation time zone for payouts to something other than my personal timezone? maybe the default forum timezone?

rb290 12-12-2005 05:31 AM

when it tells you to find something and add whatever in a file i cant cause 3.5.2 has different files then 3.5.0 so this hack isnt fully functionable with newer vbs

cuphongle 12-14-2005 06:56 AM

i installed and everything went good, but when i went to usergroup permission to change it, i select yes...but then when i go bak in again, it says no

can u tell me what's wrong

I see now that it is an option at the bottom when creating a thread. Got it....

Have to reset your bits.

http://YOUR-FORUM-URL/forums/admincp/index.php?do=buildbitfields

Replace YOUR-FORUM-URL with your actual forum URL

foxy11 12-14-2005 11:59 AM

is this working fine with 3.5.2 before I upgrade? :)
