I think I cleaned up the database cause I could get the new insert.sql working. I will finish the installation tomorrow. If I cannot get it working I will ask your help bro. Thanks anyway :)

Swedie I double check everything and tried to install this mod but right now I have a problem with the AdminCp. I cannot find the Webpage and Guestbook preferences menu in vbulletin options. I doubled check each phrase that you habe in insert.sql . They are all working. I can get the usergroups permisson to set which user groups can use guestbook and webpage and also the other 3 option.

I checked that if settinggroup_guestbookwebpage this phrase is working or not and when I search this I can find even the translation. But interesting part is I cannot find this phrase in installation or upgrade script. Right now I cannot modify the settings.

ssettinggroup_guestbookwebpage does not exist in upgrade.sql

Now to your problem. search for "Guestbook / Webpage Preferences" in Language & Phrase manager. Did it find something? if not so... click it, then save it. If it did not find anything. I suggest going manually and adding this text. Do this by choosing the Phrase Manager again, then under Phrase Type, pick "vBulletin Settings". Click on "Add New Phrase". Type in settinggroup_guestbookwebpage under Varname and then "Guestbook / Webpage Preferences" under text. Click Save.

Done. it should pop up. Or maybe it will stop and say there's a duplicate entry for settinggroup_guestbookwebpage. It probably will. Then it means that you do not have the settinggroup entry in the database. If so, run this SQL query:
INSERT INTO `settinggroup` (grouptitle, displayorder, volatile) VALUES ('guestbookwebpage', 199, 1);

Try this and let me know.

The % signs came from my Swedish translation. If you have an translation of the forum the language settings have date override parameters.

i just installed the hack and i pretty sure i did everything in the instructions... i check my USERCP and i can't find the webpage content or the guestbook settings anywhere on the left column.

Did i miss something or do something wrong... i checked my settings in admin and both the usergroup and the general premissions are enabled.

After you check usergroups you have to save then one by one

I did save them.. but still is not showing up in the left column.

Okay, I'm having the problem with smilies not working in guestbooks either... They're checked as enabled in both AdminCP and UserCP, but still not working...

I would love for this hack to work but i'm not sure exactly what the problem is. I just can see the webpage content and the guestbook setting in my usercp.

And if you have more then 1 style in your board check all the styles. Everything is working good with me. You have to miss something.

Does anyone have a site with this hack working? I want to put something like this on my board, it sounds really cool.

have a couple questions.
I want this to be a feature for our 'platinum' (paying members) So if I were to install this hack for the Platinum usergroup, and a platinum member creates a page. When the users membership expires and if he doesn't re-subscribe to our forum. Does the webpage and guestbook get turned off and becomes un-accessible? Does the pages get deleted, or just turned off?

This does sound like a really cool hack, once every one gets the bugs worked out I'll install it myself.

I don't have a use for the webpage mod, so I don't have that up, just the guestbook.
Works/looks good, IMO. The guestbook HTML could use a little cleaning up/vb3 look, but it looks fine the way it is.


Swedie, I found a bug.. I'm not sure if anyone has reported it. If I edit a guestbook message, it doesn't update.. still stays the same. Just thought I'd report that.

Fix for 'istyles'

Download the two files attached to this post. Update profile.php with new code in file_profilephp.txt. Then replace template content in modify_webpage with template_modify_webpage.txt

Done.

and the 'modify webpage' layout is broken now, I'm using 760px...(see attached screenshot)

That looks pretty cool, so does anyone know about my question on the usergroups? If I set it too only be an option for the paying members. If they let thier membership expire,and they get bumped down to a regular member. Does the webpage, and guestbook get turned off automatically?

If the usergroup they are turned down to, is not allowed to have a guestbook or webpage, then then their guestbook and webpage will dissappear.

Sorry, the WYSIWYG editor does that. I can't help ... maybe I should have a enable disable button for the WYSIWYG editor.

Hey Swedie, by removing a table I managed to get it displayed, without really breaking the layout...

Have you looked after the 'more link' on the smilie box?? Would it otherwise be possible to just remove the more link and only show the default smilies??

By the way, I've just noticed that there are quite some templates not being cached...
