hmmm.... for some reason, it only updated one style.

Ah... Well, I had to manually copy and paste the arcade templates from the one style that the install script added it to to the rest of my styles. But to make the process easier, I put all of my styles under one parent style and just added the templates to that one "Master Style." That way, I only had to go through the process of copying/pasting all 26 templates one time.

Some of my users are getting no permission when clicking on arcade link. I have read past post and seen that that was usually global.php and other ideas on what could do it see below the code looks right to me.

Wow, what a mod. Great instructions... very easy to follow. I installed it on my forums without a problem, and it only took about 10-15 minutes. Kudos to the author.

if you cant contact the author there is VERY VERY little chance of gettin the source :) unless there is a flash decomplier

Alright, no more blank page for me--re hacked init.php and I am now getting the permissions error instead of the blank page. =)

I have set the permissions twice for 2 groups (including admin group) and I still get the permissions problem. I have 2 skins, the default and then 1 I created. I tried with both groups on both skins and still get:

Member, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:



  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Any ideas as to what I can do?

I just checked the settings in the arcade General Settings and the Arcade is not set to active. But when I set it to active and update it doesn't change.

Sounds like I am having the same problem as the post #47 but didn't see any advice offered him.

Its either a file edit or this that you might of forgot to add.. the last step in the installation guide.

The last thing you need to do is create a new "Scheduled Task" for the Arcade:
1. Click on "Add New Scheduled Task", in "Scheduled Task" section.
2. For the title, enter "Arcade Tasks".
3. Select "23" from the minute dropdown list.
4. For the filename, enter: "./includes/cron/arcadeupdate.php". (Without the quotes)
5. Click on "Save".

Nope, did that--it's all setup at 23 mins. What else could it be?

I'm still not sure what's going on, but I have this hack installed, logged in as administrator, can't seem to record stats, scores, etc. I tried creating 2 different accounts with the same results. However, others are able to register, login, and play just fine.

Any advice?

I wonder if it is that easy Vampireman. In the vbarcade from futureal we could add swf's only if we were able to find the exact scorevariable in the game.

If this is bypassed somehow or implemented in the flash source then the amount of games will increase when this method is shared with us.

as far as i can see no need for scorevariable or a hash, the game sends the score etc.. to the arcade. But it does involve modifying the fla files.

I have looked , but i dont understand fully yet. But it would also be harder to "cheat" as well.
