Hi, how do I change the date format?

on the forums we use %d %m %y

thanks

R3dn0ze 10-05-2014 10:20 PM

Hi, I installed this mod today and the second 'latest contributions' header shadow seems to be breaking the rest of the block.

Please note that I DID check the option to fix broken width, but to no avail.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/10/29.jpg

Thanks to anyone that is able to help me in advance

ozzy47 10-05-2014 10:32 PM

Does the same thing happen on a unmodified default style?

R3dn0ze 10-06-2014 07:21 AM

No, it looks good in the default style

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/10/27.jpg

Please note that the sidebar width in itself is not the issue, as I have changed it from the default 270px to an exaggerated 350px - to no avail.

Also note that my theme disables the icons in the block header but I doubt that that is the issue.

The issue MIGHT be, as I said, that the 'shadowing' of the inner 'latest contributions' header being larger than the container it is in ... but I'm no developer so I'd rather not mess around unless instructed to by the professionals :p

DragonByte Tech 10-06-2014 02:34 PM

I can look at doing that for version 2. If you want to post a feature request over at DragonByte Tech I can easily keep you up to date of how we are going with it. :)

You mean you tried to code in the changes? We've got plans in version 2 to expand features around the goals. At the moment I wouldn't suggest creating a custom goal yourself as I've no idea how it will work with the rest of the mod. :)

Actually never mind the pm, I think I got it fixed, please download the zip, and re-upload the files to your server, no need to import the product xml. Let me know if that fixes it for you.

If anyone can help me fix the little bug I'm experiencing (posted and ignored above), i'll see to it that you are rewarded financially - because I know that my personal theme is to blame for the issue, and not DBTech.

Can I be any fairer than that?

Thanks

Unless you want to send me the files you've changed with some notes on what you've changed I can't suggest a solution. We aren't in a position to support custom changes to our files. :)

Sorry for the delay, I'd not been notified of your post. Chris presumably meant the main download file, but since he's not developing the mod I'm not sure if of what change he made.

Unless I've misunderstood what you are wanting, in the DragonByte Tech: vBDonate - General Settings page in the Admin Control Panel you have a setting called: Display Date. There is an option to change around the date format there. Does it do what you want?

Sorry for missing your post. If you post a link to your page I'll see if I can work out what HTML needs to be changed to resolve your issue. :)

No worries!

The little reward still counts, I've grown to be quite annoyed of the issue and I just need it solved.

I've found some issues that we need to resolve in a future update, but I can provide you a work around for now:

In the template: dbtech_vbdonate_sideblock

Find:
Code:

{vb:rawphrase dbtech_vbdonate_latest_dons}
Replace with:
Code:

<span class="blocktitle" style="padding-left: 0;width: 95%;padding-left: 2.5%;">{vb:rawphrase dbtech_vbdonate_latest_dons}</span>
Find:
Code:

<div class="blockrow" style="border: {vb:stylevar sidebar_border}">
Replace with:
Code:

<div class="blockrow" style="padding: 0;border: {vb:stylevar sidebar_border}">
How does that look after changing it (btw, I'd suggest keeping a backup copy of the template just in case you need to revert it)?

Matt

DragonByte Tech 10-07-2014 02:58 PM

One other fix you can implement (which will be in the next update):

In the template: dbtech_vbdonate_sideblock

Find:
Code:

<a class="collapse" style="position:static" id="collapse_vbdonate_sideblock"
Replace with:
Code:

<a class="collapse" id="collapse_vbdonate_sideblock"

This is what there is in display data

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/10/15.png

but has no effect on pm received, This is what contains the pm, just acronyms

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/10/16.png

It is possible to have an xml with the European date format variations?

%d %m %y %H %M

Thank you very much for your attention

I can't seem to get the auto-post new thread to work. I'm using the latest 1.4.7.pl1 release. I've setup my forum to post to and I've having it create a new thread each time. I've done the following:

left poster ID, Thread ID and Post ID blank.
Added poster ID, left thread ID and Post ID blank.

Set contribution thread to yes and sticky thread to yes.

I've checked that post a new thread is yes and enabled is yes as well.

thoughts on what I may be doing wrong? I'm using vb 4.4.2

Barbecue_Eater 10-19-2014 08:38 PM

1.
The bug with the broken links on the /vbdonate.php?do=contribute_thanks page that would lead the contribution-lists is still present in the current version:
Code:

<a href="/vbdonate.php?do=contrib_table">
Code:

<a href="/vbdonate.php?do=my_contrib_table">
2.
Also, in German language, the minimum amount doesn't affect anything (tried both COMMA and DOT as decimal character).

3.
Another topic: When pressing the donate button on "vbdonate.php?do=donate", the subheader text disappears after the click (this is probably a "feature" - suggestion: make it optional OR let it automatically close the tab).

4.
If the (non-admin) user is given priviliges to see the donator list, the link leading to it is not showing up as a tab or menu entry when either on this page vbdonate.php?do=contrib_table OR clicking on the yui-gen-popupmenu (the one that pops up when clicking the title of the donation bar).

ReMarkable1991 10-30-2014 02:30 PM

Have you ever considered a subscription mode for donations? So that people can set up to pay 5-10 $ a month and become member of a usergroup of some kind?

DragonByte Tech 10-31-2014 06:32 AM

It's been suggested before. As we start work on v2 we'll look over some of these ideas to see what will work well in the mod. :)

Hi everyone,

A new update for vBDonate (1.4.8) which updates the donation countdown dates to extend the options beyond December 2014. Thanks to Matt Olieman for highlighting the issue.

Lite version is available here, vBDonate DragonByte Tech - vBulletin Mods & Addons or here vBulletin.org. The Pro version is available in your Customer Area if you have purchased a license and it is still valid.

If you like the product you can show your support by nominating it for mod of the month here, vBDonate Donations - Donate Manager - vBulletin.org Forum and also please rate it to help cancel out the users who 1 star our mods.

Just installed this and so far, it looks very good. One very minor question. How do I change the color of the text in the button on the Navbar? I looked at the style variables but don't see a listing for that button. It is green now and though that does make it stand out, I would like for it to match my other buttons.

ozzy47 11-12-2014 10:13 AM

IIRC, edit the button title in the Navigation Manager.

dknelson 11-12-2014 10:26 AM

That was easy enough. Thanks so much for the quick response.

ozzy47 11-12-2014 10:44 AM

Not a problem, glad to help. :)

vBStu 11-12-2014 01:23 PM

If they had a BTC option this would be a even popular mod indeed.

fpgeeks 11-18-2014 10:29 PM

I have the lite version installed (1.4.8) and set to add users to a usergroup once I've confirmed their donation, but it's not working. Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.

InFi[D]eL 11-26-2014 11:27 AM

This is an excellent mod I must say; I a total noob found it simple to install and setup, even if some of the extra features did confuse me.

I do wonder though, can it be setup in multiple currencies? I'd like to accept donations in GBP (Sterling) USD and Euro's to coincide with the ability to have multiple currency balances in paypal it's self. As our teamspeak is paid for in USD, game features in Euro and the Teamspeak in GBP it would also potentially dent the wastage of funds in the exchange rate.

I know it says above "one type only" is there a way around that?

Many thanks.

Sorry for the delay, I've not been getting notifications of the new posts... :(

Can you post up your details about what your settings are? I'll take a look over it then.

At the moment I'm completing the work on the Alpha/Beta stages of DragonByte Classifieds before properly beginning work on version 2. :)

Dully noted Matt, thank you. I look forward greatly to version 2.

Barbecue_Eater 12-04-2014 10:39 PM

You broke including personal external scripts.
As soon as your donation bar is on the page, any custom included scripts don't work.
Please fix this ASAP

ozzy47 12-04-2014 10:49 PM

This happened after the update yesterday? What version were you running before?

Foxtrotelite 12-05-2014 05:01 AM

How do I go about adding this to a module in Vbadvanced? or is that a Pro option only?

I'll get back to you on that as I've not worked on the vBAdvanced integration up until now.

This sounds more like the custom script has broken vBDonate than the other way around... :D

What issues are you having? If you can provide some links/images/details I'll see what we can do about it. :)

Matt

Foxtrotelite 12-05-2014 07:24 AM

Thanks for the fast reply. It would be awesome if the contribution bar could be a the top of the screen as well as have a module option that looks exactly like the sidebar you've already created for the forum.
