That is for the Credit Purchase System and not the Raffle System. There is nothing to change for authorize.net in the raffle system.

That last setting (the return urls) must be made at authorize.net itself to return to the Credit Purchase System after a purchase is made. Perhaps AWCoding would be better to answer questions about the CPS.

nice mod, would be nice to be able to create contests for users with most posts and most referrals, etc.

Something else you might want to be aware of is authorize.net forbids using it's services in any gambling or lottery type service (which a raffle is).

Quote their terms of service..
Quote:

x. is associated with any form of gambling or lottery type services not affiliated with a state-run lottery service;
You might want to triple check that you can use them for your raffles.

I would love to see this added (and would pay for it).

Something like giving one entry ticket to all members and an additional ticket for every x rep counts or x number of posts.

If you tie vBCredits II into the system, you can already do this. vBCredits will give members credits for their activity. The raffle system can then use those credits as a cost for each ticket.

Reizar 11-18-2011 06:41 AM

Thanks for this, using it on my forum. Members love the raffle and the addon works great :)

SlompOchomp 11-20-2011 01:25 PM

Is the sidebar working for others? because I am not able to see it...all the code that was placed in the Forum Blocks Manager looks correct and it is enabled, it's also set in the Raffle Settings Show Raffles in Forum Sidebar: Yes.

any suggestions welcome
Thanks!

Note: Other sidebars I have added are working correctly, and yes I do have a Raffle started and it does show in the raffles.php.

Update: Found what was causing the issue, it seems EveryWhere Sidebar doesn't like the setting PHP. So I have disabled EveryWhere Sidebar and it's working fine that way. maybe you can contact the creator of EveryWhere Sidebar and collaborate :)

Can you suggest some other means of selling tickets for $$ ???. The AWCoding mod is not being supported by it's developer, and as such cannot be recommended IMO.

I'm not sure this is the problem, but have you set up the relay response URL in your authorize.net account AT authorize.net?

BadgerDog 12-01-2011 04:14 PM

Just for my own clarity ..

If I download AWCoding Credit Purchase System Lite Version, will it work with this mod and will it permit members to buy raffle tickets using automatic PayPal gateway?

Thanks .. :)

Regards,
Doug

So far as I know, the 'Lite' version does not have the IPN feature and you have to manually verify each payment.

Other than that, yes it will.

That's too bad ...

With the PRO version not getting support any longer and the LITE version not interfacing with PayPal to buy the Raffle Tickets for real cash, it's a problem for us ....

How complicated would it be for someone else to write a direct PayPal purchase back end for your Raffle system (with your permission of course), so members could simply use PayPal to buy tickets?

Thanks for your efforts ... :)

Doug

I'm not sure why people are claiming the Pro version is not being supported. AWJunkies replied to oldlock's thread on his site.

I am more convinced there is a problem with oldlock's settings than I am of no support from AWJunkies because I know of at least one site that uses the CPS Pro version with no problems. But, they may be using PayPal and not authorize.net for their transactions.

Great mod

Request if at all possible. Is it possible to have raffles drawn automatically at certain intervals.

So for instance set it up so raffles are drawn every 24/48 hours without the need to set them up manually.

If you mean draw the same raffle over and over again with no end, no that's not possible with the raffle system as published.

Yes. Just so I can set it up and then let it draw then reset and then drawn again in x amount of time.

No worries if it cant though.

Great work

Just did this and I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU. Being new to vBulletin I was kinda hesitant but it was super easy and is working great for me. Thank you for the raffles mod, the ability to tie into vBCredits II and for the prompt support you provide.

Is there a way that you can display the number of entries by a person next to their name where you list "Who has entered this raffle". ?

Not at this time. The system doesn't count them, just lists them.

Yes, some servers don't allow http calls to images. So, your remedy was correct.

hi mate,

just wondered if it was possible to add the ability to change the winning private message per raffle.

i know it can be changed in the phrases section but some of my raffles just require a pm sending stating they have won and others need to give details how to claim the prize. At the moment an admin needs to send a follow up pm giving more details which delays the prize.

being able to set the pm body message for each raffle would be great.

Seems reasonable, I'll put this on my things to do list.

Used for what?

A custom field can be used for many different things. Please be more specific.

TheSupportForum 12-29-2011 08:13 PM

i am currently involved in an online social networking game
which the custom field is linked to their citizen profile

the requirements for them to enter the raffle would be to fill in that custom field
then allowing me to send them their prize

which in the game is food and tanks, the profile link would link their storage

There is an option to require the custom fields for Delivery Address, Phone or PayPal ID. You could just change the wording in phrase manager and use one of those.

The phrases are..
raffle_missing_address
raffle_missing_paypal
raffle_missing_phone

You might want to look again. I'm very far from being the only user not getting resolution of problems with awjunkies products.

Could somebody explain in more detail how make the custom Profile Fields for either Delivery Address, Phone, or PayPal ID Address? I'd like to know what goes in each area when setting up the Profile Fields. (such as Single-Line Text Box, Title, Description, Default Value, ect.) Thanks!

TheSupportForum 01-02-2012 01:37 AM

You use ACP->User Profile Fields->Add New User Profile Field to create them. See this image for how they should be filled out...
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...3&d=1304177740

After you create the field, you'll be returned to the Profile Field Manager. Look in the 'Name' column for the field name you just created and enter that in the settings page for Raffles.

Images show without a problem in vB 4.1.9.

Check your image path. Some servers do not allow http references to images. You may need to use relative paths such as ./images/raffles/yourimage.jpg.

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2012/01/11.gif Thank you very much for this great mod.

Little request: It would be great if we could sett the maximum number of tickets allowed to buy per user group.

For example:
If we have PayPal Donations installed and Donators are placed in a special user group, well, it would be good if they could buy more tickets than normal users.

regards!!!

Check your server's timezone settings.

Your 10:00am may not be your server's 10:00am.

See this post for an in-depth explanation..
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=196

EDIT: Also on very low traffic sites, the scheduled tasks can take forever to be triggered. They are run in order with each visit to your site. All scheduled tasks require visitors to trigger them. So if there are say 15 scheduled tasks ahead of the raffle draw, those 15 must run first. And if you have 1 visitor per hour, the raffle will draw about 15 hours late.

To prove this out, once you know your SERVER'S 10:00am has passed, hit refresh while on your main page and do the same with the scheduled tasks displayed in ACP, you'll see them rotate up. Eventually the raffle draw will happen. On my site which is very low traffic, I've seen it run as much as 7 hours late. If you would like to see a record of times the test raffle on my site has been drawn, look here.. http://snogssite.com/forumdisplay.ph...Raffle-Results That forum holds a record of draws for about the last 30 days, but that never-ending raffle has been running and being drawn daily since July 2011.
