i can honestly say this does work I have been recieving donations with it. vb 4.0.7

I received 2 donations. I see these transactions in vsa_ppdonate table but donations list page shows no records.
I updated a record as confirmed = 1 via sql and than that record appeared at donations list.
Am i missing something? Any ideas?

if I install this, will other people will be able to know my paypal address, somehow?

Installed this in October and it's been running fine for a not-for-profit charity event we've been running for members ...

All of a sudden, the total line went to 0 .. :confused:

It now says Goal amount for the year: 10000 AUD, Received: 0 AUD (0%) when in fact it should read Goal amount for the year: 10000 AUD, Received: 875 AUD (0%)

Anyone else notice this? Is there some way to get the total to reconcile itself back to 875 or re-total itself?

Any help would be appreciated .. :)

@ BadgerDog, try checking the acp settings for: Goal Amount for Month, Year? and Which day in month Donation Bar resets (used only when third option in above setting is selected)

The Donation Bar values might have reset because we've just entered a new year. You could go through all of your received donations and change the dates to Jan 1st 2011 I guess.

That was it....

Apparently this mod rolls the YEAR total donation value over on the end of the calendar year at Dec 31st. Unfortunately, we thought it was a cosmetic time frame and we wanted it to run for 12 months from date of starting campaign and keep the accumulated total donations value for that rolling 12 month period, so I guess we misunderstood the design ...

It is not shown on my site not visible in the HTML of the donate button or in the address bar when forwarded to paypal. I also don't see it when going through the payment process. So in my case, no, my paypal address is not seen.

Where do I find the list of donations? That's the only thing with this mod that I'm confused about. I think I have it installed properly. I just can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You should find a 'View Donations' link on your Quick Links and you should also see a link on your donation bar to 'View Donations'. Both will take you to 'forum/misc.php?do=donlist'

I got none of that. I installed it properly. Seemed very easy if all I had to do was follow the instructions given. But I honestly don't have either of those things. I just see the donate option on my navbar.

Well I got it by adding my usergroup to the list able to see donation and adding donations page to quicklinks. Thanks.

Test it yourself... log in as a regular user and go through the process and see if you can find the address.

You should add an option to send out an email to certain user groups when the system is used, instead of only having an option for PM. If you're busy, I would be more than happy to implement this feature and send the code your way. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Clicked on Donate, sent a dollar, and it returned me to a page with a lot of smilies and nothing was entered in the Donator list. Any ideas?

From briefly looking at the .xml file, it seems it doesn't display the unconfirmed donations at all. I wish I had an older version of this to look at and compare, but I think that part was taken out of this for some odd reason.

Edit: Seems to be restricted to group 6 for doing any administrative things. I changed all the references to group 6 to my group and I can't see unconfirmed donations. I can see the total increase, but that's it. Quite odd.

Yup getting the same thing when I set up 5|1,10|2, etc etc. When I have 5,10, 15 they work, but not per month settings.

Any fix for this?

Ummm... I'm running into a problem I can't seem to figure out or fix. I keep getting people that want to renew there acconts and the Donation software kick them to the smiley page. I can't seem to dupiclate it either...

Here is the problem I've got HTML pages along with vBulletin so if I put a link on the HTML pages for donate to forum.mopar1973man.com/misc.php?do=donate and the member has already donated so I've got the link disabled so what happens is the link fails and travels to forum.mopar1973man.com/msic.php which just happens to be the smiley page.

Is there a way to fix the code so people can use links in the HTML pages to the vBulletin? :confused:

The only thing I wish this had was an expiration for donations that would remove users from the donate group you moved them into. That's the only thing the subscriptions system do that this can't.

From what i've seen the subscriptions builtin only apply to paypal, and you need a business account.

EDIT: Actually I removed the srt part of the paypal URL from the xml code and it seems to stop wanting to do installments. It would be nice if you'd make subscription installments an option in a future version. A yearly subscription with one lump payment would be nice (as it is now custom modified for me to do)

Now it would just be nice if it would PM them when their subscriptions run out (and I hope it already moves them out of the donations group, if not that should happen too)

Hi, I tried reading through 10+ pages of this thread to see if I could locate this issue, however, I didn't see anything similar to what I am having an issue with. I am on vb 4.1.2 and I am currently receiving an error on my first donation amount/subscription length, but not the subsequent amount/subscription length - for example I have 5|1, 10|3, 20|6 etc, but I am only receiving the following error for only the 5|1 parameter, the rest are fine:

"The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again."

Any idea on why this is triggering for only the first amount/subscription length, but works fine for the other amounts/lengths?

Is there a way to get this to NOT appear on other pages that use misc.php?
