just temporarily disable the 'last post icon' in the VSA settings....until he updates it.

Which setting is that please? I can't see it at all?

Does it fix the VBSEO issue temporarily?

Thanks :)

Advanced Forum Statistics Options > 'Latest Posts' - Arrow Link > Disable

And yes, it removes it from the coding so it doesn't affect vbSEO at that point.

Dave-M 06-01-2010 01:57 PM

Doesn't do anything on mine unfortunately, I still get the invalid thread specified page when I click on a link, but thanks anyway :)

Edit: What does work though, is if I change:

Advanced Forum Statistics Options > 'Latest Posts' - title Link > last post

Dave-M 06-01-2010 02:04 PM

One last question, I posted this a few pages back but didn't get any response:

I would like the stats box to use the default CSS, in other words, the drop shadow and same borders as the rest of the forums, does anyone know how to do this please?

As soon as I uploaded the XML, the colors automatically blended in with my forum. (same colors and all)

The colours are correct, but that's about all.

See my attachment in this post to see what I mean, the drop shadow and borders are missing and I can't find the appropriate stylevar if there is one.

If you look at the images in the OP, they are the same as mine, so I think it's meant to be like that, it's just that if you have it at the top of the forums, it looks a little odd. Really, it should follow the stock forum template design shouldn't it?

Noctavia 06-01-2010 09:33 PM

Can anyone help me with how to get this to show on the CMS - either as a widget or just to show at all. I've tried adding the code, but it doesn't show. :(

The vBSEO team says, here for the 'last post icon' problem one should find help ==> http://www.vbseo.com/f2/vbseo-functi...ility-1662/#tb

maybe the problem can be repaired with this info :)
I hope it, in any case, last post icon is absent all users

Awesome mod, It really works great for our site (like about 10 other mods you make).

1 of my members has requested that on your next version if you could look into making the Views/Replies numbers better labeled. Perhaps at the top of the mod

vilhiem 06-14-2010 01:10 AM

Another great mod Valter!

Just installed it ... seems to work fine. Can't wait to see how my members like it and how they use it.

Kind Regards,
Vilhiem

vilhiem 06-14-2010 01:28 AM

ok ... guess I have one question:

Under the "Latest Posts" stat ... if a user clicks the title, it takes them to the "first" post in a thread ... not the "latest" post in a thread as I would have expected. This becomes really important with some of our threads that can go on for pages.

Is there a work-around for this to show the actual "latest post" within a thread ...?

(sorry if this has been asked/answered already)

Thanks!!!

oooops ... nevermind :-)

Didn't notice that it actually does do the "latest posts" if, in the Options, you change the "Latest Posts - Title/Arrow Link" to "Show First Unread Post"

So, I stand corrected. But just wanted to post this in case others may have had similar problems.

Anyone know if this will work with 4.0.4 that just came out?

farhanisfarhan 06-19-2010 09:16 AM

The small arrow after the latest post wouldn't work properly. Maybe a problem of integration with vbSEO but I believe it should not. It leads to a page where it says: No Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

any help ?

alnassrah 06-19-2010 09:22 AM

When will be updated to version 4.0.4 ?

Please read the entire thread before posting, as this has been asked several times before.

when I go into the full page mod, and click the Top # Stats dropdown, the only option I get is to turn off stats.

I have it set to show almost all the status, but all I can actually view on the forumhome or the full page is top posters, new news, and latest posts. Is there a setting somewhere I possibly missed?

vilhiem 06-25-2010 09:23 PM

Curious ... instead of having this mod appear below the navbar, or forum ...
can it be inserted into a Side Block?

Granted, it wouldn't display too much ... but mainly want a list of the most recent posts.

Thanks!!!

Arunkumar 06-26-2010 12:44 PM

Hmm installation completed. Happy to have this Add on.

unforsaken 06-27-2010 06:02 PM

I hate to bring it back to ask again, but is there anyway to disable to Latest Post stat from being displayed. That is the only thing keeping me from using this, as we don't use the Latest Post.

Skyrider 06-27-2010 08:28 PM

If someone can help me, much appreciated. It seems that this addon stretches to those who are using 1024x768 resolution. It doesn't keep to the exact same size as the forum.

BiMBo3MeNDo 06-28-2010 05:47 AM

I have stylel black and how I can add bg black at this plugin???

Strik3 06-30-2010 05:13 PM

Now if I turn on coming all the time Loading. . . And takes forever to show the stats? Does anyone know how can I change this?

Apomethe 07-04-2010 03:07 AM

You should add www. in the beginning

Valter 07-04-2010 04:53 PM

Adding this to .htaccess will solve such problems:
Code:

Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine ON
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^FORUM.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.FORUM.com/$1 [L,R=301]

Replace FORUM.com (both instances) with your forum domain.

I had that occur occasionally with me as well , after having it successfully installed for several weeks. It happened right after I cleared my cookies / cache. But then it soon started working properly again. So maybe its just a temporary thing.

It does not work for me on 4.0.5. Can you tell us how to fix this?

Thank you.

<a href="http://forum.highflow.nl/forum.php" target="_blank">http://forum.highflow.nl/forum.php</a>

As you can see there are only 3 blocks. Is there a way to make more blocks?

Kind regards,

Dutch_Boy.

Not sure why but it is not showing up on my forum, not sure if it is the theme or if I missed something.

Nice mod Valter .!
I have the mod (v7.0.3) installed for about two months now - since May,24 - ..
What I want to say is: Could you consider placing an option for SEO URL's in the next releases ?!

Thanks in advance ..
