I just deleted everything, re-download and reinstalled and I'm still having the same issue with the sidebar on the home forums only, everywhere else is working great.

These are the only two things preventing me from using these styles. :(

Foxtrotelite 11-07-2010 10:53 PM

when i installed one of these styles the transparent forum area was really dark compared to the demo site. As if the transparency was decreased. Which file can I change to fix that? bk3 maybe?

x9751 11-07-2010 11:17 PM

Hmm strange... my profile was working before now that i updated to the version of this template my profile is not working right... Strange.

Yep, deleted everything and re-uploaded (both zips) and reinstalled styles

I can't seem to figure out the profile issue on any of my themes. Its bumming me out...ever since I upgraded to 4.08 it's been occuring on every theme as well... the profile issue is the only one that doesn't respond to my custom css edits, or stylevars edits. I know i set it right too.

It's inheriting values of transparent. If anyone can figure the fix, let me know :) I'll keep looking for a fix.

This is probably because you were using regular pixels. This theme has been upgraded to pixel premium a maybe 4-5 months ago

Foxtrotelite 11-08-2010 06:22 AM

I installed the files that are posted in the download section. I just installed it a couple days ago so they should be the newest files right?

what file do I need to edit to change the transparency? Right now it's a really dark grey color with very little transparency.

thanks

Change bk2.png or bk3.png and that will change all transparencies. Very flexible/powerful theme the way I set it up. Changing these 2 images can vary your forum look tremendously.

Foxtrotelite 11-08-2010 07:20 PM

awesome, thanks for the help. Ill give it a shot

This is the only known bug with the "theme" but i believe its a vbulletin bug.

x9751 11-09-2010 03:27 AM

I know of a fix for the profile but it requires you to run a quarry. or w/e its called. i also heard that the profile "bug" will be fixed in 4.0.9 but for now i just fix my profile via the "customize profile" button and tell my users to do the same.

Lena Gk 11-09-2010 04:09 AM

after LOTS of messing around with it i discovered the profile sidebar content is actually affected by the Header_background variable (?!) . To solve the issue, i set the color as White and added my forum's doc_background image (you can add any dark gradient i guess) as a background image. you can adjust accordingly

I found that the sidebar "everywhere" mod was messing up my layout. Once I removed it and only problem is the profile bug.

Product post title says "Updated",
But the xml files are NOT updated..
you have them somewhere?

RichieBoy67 11-09-2010 09:52 PM

Dave,

I really need some help--I cannot figure out how to change this test--I know it is blockrow descriptions--forum controls also I believe but there is something set up as a transparency and it is screwing me up every time..

This test is too dark and is hard to read--I am talking about the description text in the user profile section. I can change this color which is #777777 using firebug but I cannot change it on the site. I have tried everything including adding custom css..

Can you please help me fix this Dave? This Dark text doesn't bother anyone else?
This text is driving my client crazy.. Can help me figure out which transparency I have to change Dave??

Thanks so much..

PS-You were helping me with this months ago under the older versions I believe but we never ended up fixing it..

Thanks

daveaite 11-11-2010 04:35 AM

Can you give me a link to your site

Hi Dave,

This is a clients site but this is the same text that is in the demo styles as well. It is not common to this site.

If you go into the profile section or the settings actually-it is the darkish gray descriptive small text underneath the title of the specific settings..

I did heavily modify your style for this client but I did not change these colors.

FYI-If you look at the drop down links in the navtabs--it is the same problem but I was abole to fix this already by going into css..I would like to make most of this dark gray small text white if possible or even a dark orange. I just want it to be read easily..

Thank you so much for responding though. I know how busy you are and I know how many people are always asking you for help so I really appreciate it..I was thinking I could just get away with adding some extra css but this will not work..

This is an example..

Rich

Any chance on fixing the profile & blog issue (please)?

RowenWindsong 11-11-2010 07:41 PM

How do I purchase this theme? I go to your site but I can't find it anywhere. I was really looking forward to getting this for the space theme for my new site.

ShadowStalker 11-12-2010 03:00 AM

So does everyone have an issue with the text being transparent on member profiles and blogs?

That is the same thing I have been talking about. it is the light gray text barely visib;le and it is in other locations as well. It is set as transparent so I cannot find where to change this..

I believe Dave is working on this though...

mindfawk 11-13-2010 02:58 AM

Only issue that I'm having is that the font for the blogs is transparent and not displaying.

I've asked about this also.

(The problem is the font is also the same color as the background. No idea how to fix that)

x9751 11-15-2010 02:09 AM

I have a question about the text box's. Some of them like the ones on the "registration" page when people click on them they go transparent or the same color as the background making it harder to see "for noobs mostly" but yeah i looked around but i can't seem to find the CSS or code for it.

RichieBoy67 11-15-2010 04:07 AM

Yeah, I am having the same issue too.. I finally upgraded which meant all of my style edits or most of them had to be re-done and now when ever you go to write a post you cannot see what you are typing because it is black..

I am having the hardest time figuring out how to edit this style with the transparencies and the stylevar system in vb4...

Dave--Could you please tell me how to resolve the text input background issue and can you tell me how to change the text color for the light gray text everywhere that is hard to see at least under firefox..

Thanks mate..

Rich

Hydroxi 11-15-2010 11:25 AM

Same issue here.
The text Box loses ist background color if clicked on it.
Any Solutions?

★Slap 11-15-2010 03:32 PM

I never had a problem with the members profile being transparent, i only had problem with the Bold, Italic and Underline being transparent.

1) Your not meant to remove the copyright without the authors permission to get the copyright back, go to the style then search for footer now click revert.

2 & 3 the author needs to fix.

Broso 11-16-2010 12:26 AM

yes i know about copyright i delete it by mistake

Edit: I revert the footer templet buy still no copyright ?

RichieBoy67 11-16-2010 03:15 AM

Regarding the text entry box--To change it from black I believe it is "text_edit background"--something like that--I don't have the page up right now but I am sure you can see it in the stylevar section...

Nope I believe I am wrong--I will look as soon as I have a chance..

Hydroxi 11-16-2010 05:52 AM

Indeed, its "input_background"

But it just changes the color.
When you click on the (white) box, to write something in it, it becomes transparent so that you write black on black (backgroundcolor of the forms).
