vB 4.1.9 |
I am having to clear the cms cache each time a comment is posted for it to appear.
|
After going to 4.1.10 I can no longer make comments from the CMS page, has to be done from the thread or clicking go advanced.
The comment box is grayed out for some reason and I can't put in any text. |
Works for me on 4.1.10. for the comments appear I'm just disabled the built-in vBulletin cache and now all comments or post appears instantly and got a decent forum performance.

Really really want to get this working and can't believe its not a standard function in VB4! |

And yes, this must be a standard function in Vbulletin. |
That worked, anyone know how to get this mod working without permanently disabling the post cache?
|
Is there anyway you can give the option when clicking on comments to have it link directly back to the forums post rather then the CMS article front?

Looks like it's working on mine. I just promoted an article, used another account to post in that thread, and it's populated in the CMS section.
This is such a duh thing that should have just been the way. What an excellent modification! Marked as installed and nominated. |
4.1.11 should finally provide this setting build in.
@Carnage, have you checked out the alpha or beta and have an idea what we as users of this modification have to do to switch to the 4.1.11 version without breaking our old articles? |
All you need to do is disable/remove this mod.

or should I upgrade first? |
Carnage, thanks again for a great mod. I think it's the ultimate compliment when your mod is so good, vBulletin feels compelled to include it in their stock build. Good show!

Great work! Thank you very much for your great mod!
|
Do I disable this mod since this is now built in?

Ever since this moved to VB the comments just aren't displaying like they used to.
Any idea how to reset this or make it work? |

I am having issues with the built in vbulletin comments not working also.
|
I just test promoting thread to be an article, and when I replied on the article the comment wrote in the vbcms comments forum not in the original thread, so what is the exact option that you said (Carnage) was built in from vb4.1.11 !!
I tested on vb4.2 Any help please? |
I have this mod disabled. But, when I promoted a forum thread to an article the existing comments do not transfer over to the articles/CMS page.
Any suggestions? Thanks! |
I also removed this mod after upgrading to 4.1.12, but I do not have the same functionality that this mod previously provided.
Are we missing something in the 4.1.12 settings, or is this mod still needed. |
|
Thanks for the link...
So I have to edit the template and change the defaults to get it working like this mod use to...but how do I apply these new settings to all existing articles? |
