PM me a username and password, along with a link (need admin permissions) and I will have a look for you.

Same applies to anyone else.

Welsh.

your a trusted DEV correct?

Welshy2008 02-09-2011 05:24 PM

I have helped many people out in this way.

You are under no obligation to let me do it for you!

I work on trust. If you don't feel confident enough - then that is not a problem.

You could specify a username and password for me (with admin permissions) and then delete it when I have done it for you.

Like I say - It is up to you.

COL NIL SATIS 02-09-2011 05:41 PM

Flags still work great on my site,it's a terrific mod

Thank you for your help welshy.

I gave welshy access to help me resolve my issue with the flags not working on my site. within 10min of sending him his login info he was fast to help me. even after forgetting to give him admin rights he was patient on helping me out even thou he didnt have alot of time.

welshy was able to find the issue in my forum that was a non related code issue on my part or his part. its was due to another popular mod that was put into the wrong postbit area.

i look forward to using more of welshys products or plugins.

thanks again welshy.

Mod is excellent. Thank you for the effort put in!

One minor problem though; I can't get this to work in my alternative skin. For my main skin, it works great, but I have a second skin for my forum which doesn't display the flag; only the text phrase, ie England.

Using the exact same code in each skin and can't figure this out.

Help much appreciate. :)

glen290 02-24-2011 12:17 PM

Recently upgraded to 4.1.2 and its stopped working, any ideas how to get it back up and running ?

Sorry Mate, but support is not given to custon skins.

However, if you want to set a temporary Amdin account for me with full admin permissions and PM the details and a forum link to me, I will have a look. (that is all I can do).

you could try adding the code to your DEFAULT skin and make this the parent to your Custom skin, that may work..prob worth trying :)

Welshy2008 02-25-2011 07:42 PM

your24hourstore 02-28-2011 05:50 PM

camoit 03-27-2011 03:47 AM

Hay guys. Sorry if this is a total newbie question but I have vB publisher 4.1.2 and there is no Postbit or Posbit_legacy files. We have lots of postbit_XXXX files. So is what do I do? Maybe it's just not clear to me on where things are since I'm moving to this new format away from the phpbb3 thing. OH one other thing you have 3 db files 1 in each flag file, what do we do with them? Overwright them? There all diferant in size.
Be gentle on me I'm new...

Old-Git 03-28-2011 12:03 AM

Any chance of adding a Northern Ireland flag to this. You've got Wales, Scotland, England, RoI, and even a choice of GB or UK but no Northern Ireland Flag!

NPGamers.Net 04-03-2011 04:40 PM

Upgraded to 4.1.2 with new theme and works great.

Dont forget to move the "Flags" folder you put originally into your theme's style folder in the images folder.

Also follow the directions at the top of this page specifically for the version of VB you are using.

Not sure what you mean by postbit_xxxx - there may not be more than single file of postbit and a single of postbit_legacy - may be you have to re-uploade ther original vB 4.1.2 files.

Regarding the flags1 flags2 and flags3 - extract them into one flags folder and they upload to ../mages/buttons folder - keep in mind the style you are using...(before uploading find out the imagedir in your stylevar

Dave-M 04-11-2011 12:41 PM

Can't get this working for some reason. I see the profile field, and I can select my flag, but it never shows.

Followed the instructions to the letter several times, the flags are uploaded to the correct location in one folder called flags.

The custom field is exactly as per the instructions.

The template edit is there. FieldX is changed to my custom field number.

Any ideas please? :)

I'm on 4.1.2 with VBSEO 3.6.0 Gold.

SpeedyHire 04-11-2011 12:54 PM

nice work:)
installed and working a treat with 4.1.2

Welshy2008 04-11-2011 03:05 PM

Dave-M,

I have just PMd you. :)

Dave-M 04-14-2011 12:41 PM

Got it fixed and working thanks.

I did have one alaignment issue, where the bit that says "Country:" to the left of the flag in the postbit was too close to the flag, so it was out of line, so I just edited the template and added 9 or 10x alt+0160 and that fixed it :)

By the way, the Northern Irish are asking where their fecking flag is LOL

Cheers mate, great mod!

Welshy2008 04-14-2011 12:54 PM

No problem Dave.

The creator of the flags is a friend of the original creator of this mod. I have already contacted him, and in turn, he has contacted his friend. His friend did say that he would do some, but that was a long, long time ago.

Nothing came of it. :(

I will ask again though.

Dave-M 04-14-2011 01:10 PM

Ah OK mate, not to worry, I'll check back soon, cheers :)

I'm in the same boat, except not running VBSEO.

Edit: Scratch that — I'm good. Had to update legacy.
