From what I've been told, the member.php edit actually isn't needed, so I have addressed that in the next release.

You know, I never even noticed that the ability is not their. I'll try to add the ability for that in the next release.

yes sir i did that, but i am still getting the following error:

Code:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/member.php(504) : eval()'d code on line 106
the whole scenario is running beautifully, it is just this error that is spoiling the fun. my users are very happy and so am i. can you please advice how to rid of this?

Ok I've installed all the files both to the root and the import product file. I have no award template or award manager.. Do I need to do sometime of update to make it effective? I got nothing so far.. Does take time to kick in?

Come on, help a brother out!

Nadeemjp 11-07-2008 05:09 AM

hello guys i have one small problem that i dont know how to handle

please see the image below:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2008/11/33.png

i have installed so many mods and when they appear in the users' posts, the user profile actually becomes so wider and bigger.

i was wondering that the awards showcase should be shifted towards the left side. i mean not under the user name or stuff, but between user name and user details on the right hand side. in short i want this to be displayed in the middle of the user profile bar ......

i dont know which things to edit for displaying like that. could someone tell me where to add what code? cause i am totally not a coder and have no idea how to write codes:)

larry suttles 11-07-2008 11:03 AM

I fixed my issues.. Thanks installed and working gooood..:)

msolano 11-12-2008 05:16 PM

I have a little issue: the links in the postbit don't go to the tab 'myawards'.
I see the link to follow in the status bar (when I put the mouse over the links) and it don't have the "&tab=myawards" , even the software is up today (ver 4.0.1), and i have double checked awards_bit, awards_postbit_display and member.php to be really sure that it should work with the changes applied.
The link just follow to the profile, not to My Awards tab.

I have SEO installed, could be the SEO?
(My forum is traslated in spanish)

Somebody have this issue yet?

Look at the image you posted, do you notice the text of any section being wider then the others? Because I do, and I would fathom to guess thats the mod causing it. You can edit that section to fix it... But if you just want to center the other sections you will need to give them a width in the HTML.

Version 4.0.2 of this mod has been released.

* Added 'No Display' option for Awards Showcase in postbit
* Fixed MySQL/MySQLi code error
* BBCode Correctly Parsing
* File edit in member.php no longer needed
* admincp/avatar.php removed from hack

I haven't been able to dig into getting HTML customized awards, but BBCode is correctly parsing.

noddegamra 11-14-2008 08:26 AM

This is an excellent mod. Works exactly how I wanted/needed. Thankyou so, so much! :D

I'd have to look into how to code something like that, but yes, it is possible.

gamerfu 11-15-2008 08:18 AM

I feel like my post has been ignored. :(

robwestpdx 11-15-2008 03:26 PM

works great! Is there a way to get this to show on the member info page in one of the blocks?

Neo_Angelo 11-15-2008 05:19 PM

This would be awesome if we could add triggers that automatically give a user an award, as an example, a user would automatically get an award for posting 100 posts, or by having 150 profile views. or by creating their first thread.

this could be very useful instead of having to manually keep track of things.

i've installed this and would love to see this improved upon some more.

robwestpdx 11-15-2008 05:53 PM

I'm trying to have the "small award icons" load into the mini stat box on the right, but can't figure out what the code is.

for example, i can get a profile field to show by adding $userinfo[field12] etc. Is there a simple code I can add to make a users awards show here a well?

rob01 11-15-2008 05:57 PM

how many queries this stuff adds to the postbit / user profile?

I have been working on that on the side, I was hoping to get it into the 4.0.2 release, but I've been running into some bugs with that.

UPDATE: I have this added, and working for the next release. The code is a bit "dirty". I'm used to coding in straight PHP, so I'm not used to using the vBulletin Data Manager, so I currently have this executing via an Included PHP File.

That is another aspect that I would love to be able to add, I'm just not sure how I would go about coding something like that.

Nadeemjp 11-16-2008 08:55 AM

thanx for the update bro, this is really what i was looking to do:)
the option of displaying awards is awsome. gr8 job:D

CypherSTL 11-16-2008 11:27 AM

Alright. The latest version is uploaded.

The version scheme has changed. Currently, the same code-base works on both vBulletin 3.7 and vBulletin 3.8. However, with not knowing in the future if the same code-base will work 100%, the mods have been split up.

The newest build (3.7.3) has Member List Options, and a Version Information sectionin the AdminCP.

Read the release notes for the template edit for the Members List if you choose to use it.

DarkGizmo 11-16-2008 02:04 PM

Is this newer than YAAS v4.0?

Cuz I just installed 4.0.2 the other day, should I update to this version? or is it a totally different mod? O_o

dmknights 11-16-2008 06:41 PM

I really hope to see this function working nicely =] cause for sites that has 100 awards they need to be displayed 10 or so awards per page etc..

Is it possible to somehow use the same system vb does of tracking post counts and other stats for automatic promotions?

Nadeemjp 11-17-2008 12:56 AM

downloaded the upgrade. i shall perform the update in he evening.

ndut 11-17-2008 09:18 PM

Silencer Groans 11-18-2008 07:26 PM

How can I make my presentation instead of the icon award the medal picture?

Nadeemjp 11-18-2008 11:22 PM

i think he is asking to know how he can remove the border line around the award showcase.

gamerfu 11-21-2008 09:40 AM

My Awards still do not organize correctly in the user profile tab.

Nadeemjp 11-21-2008 11:11 AM

hello there.

i have updated the 3.7.3 version and added the member list edit.
now when i click the memberlist, the following error is disaplayed for like 20 lines and then the memberlist is shown beneath those error messages but the awards do not display there.

HTML Code:

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Access denied for user '******'@'localhost' (using password: NO) in [path]/awards_memberlist.php on line 12

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: A link to the server could not be established in [path]/awards_memberlist.php on line 12

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/awards_memberlist.php on line 13

Could you post a screenshot of the error?

And if I could get some information.
vBulletin Version? memberlist_resultbit template (can send in PM if you want).

Nadeemjp 11-21-2008 11:45 AM

sure sir i am posting the screen shot here and the template would be sent to you via email:)

i am runing 3.7.4 and i just uploaded the PL1.

CypherSTL 11-21-2008 12:01 PM

Are all over portions of the awards system displaying properly?

Did it start doing this after the PL1 upgrade, or before? Try re-importing the XML as well.

Nadeemjp 11-21-2008 01:11 PM

all other functions are doing fine.
i am sorry i cant tell whether it was doing this before the import or not.
since a user complanied that his nae is not in the memberlist and that it is showing errors.
i visited and found it myself.

i shall try re-importing the xml file. but to be on the sure side, i am supposed to import xml from this 3.7.3 folder (latest one) right?
