I also had a t_string error for the drop down menu in the postbit so i took out the \ and \ from this line:

Hi, just a couple of questions popped up.

1) Does it work in conjunction with VB blocking/ignore features in case the get annoying texts.

2) Is there a way to have the pop down menu only show if they allow text to be sent to them? I assume there is a conditional that could do this? At the moment anyone with email enabled has the send text menu.

Can it be made to send email to all users in a user group all at once?

Meteor Ireland does not work. And this was confirmed by their technical support. They stopped allowing third party emails to their sms server.

Kind of defeats the purpose of having those emails then, huh? :p

According to them it is a cancelled service. The emails no longer get processed. Due to their cancelled status. Ya should remove it from the list lol

In Australia here. Can't get it to send the pin to the mobile phone.. so far tried three and telstra. None worked.

so who pays for the sms? are you saying it's completely free for all users to sent sms to a phone number whatever country listed? is it charged to their number later on, or is it charged to the forum owner or anything of that sort?

If there were any charge to anybody, it would be to the person receiving the text message if their company charged them for the incoming message. Your forum is just sending email, there's no charge to you to do that.

I don't have the usergroup permissions. I've uploaded the bitfield but alas when I go to the Usergroup Permissions it doesn't rebuild the bitfield cache and I don't see the SMS options in the usergroup permissions. Any suggestions?

Edit: Nevermind - apparently it didn't upload the bitfield afterall.

however, the vodafone in japan has been bought by softbank hence the email address has also changed to XXXX@softbank.ne.jp

please update it.

also i had requested to please include a few mobile phone companies from pakistan. you have indian companies on ur xml file but none from pakistan:(

fantastic worked great and installed in less than 10minutes and no headaches:up:

All of a sudden this is not working. I enabled it globally, enabled my own in my profile (confirmed #, etc) but its not showing up in the contact tab. I even double checked tha all templates are there, completed correctly. Its also enabled in member and admin user groups as well.

I have, and whilst I have got it to work board wise, I as well as the testing team are awaiting their SMS pins :|, been nearly 24 hours actually.

I think ive got it installed correctly, tried to setup my mobile number as a test on my profile but everytime I try the test verify message it doesnt actually get to my phone, any ideas? Im on o2 in UK, cheers

Yes it works fine on vb 3.8 RC have to manually edit templates if you need it to work fully like it should, which it does... :)

Any chance on geting this to work for Iceland?

I had this same problem with my T-mobile. The way that i got it sorted out was that I called T-mobile and they enabled this service for me so you may need to contact your provider and am sure they will be able to help.
