I installed and nothing is showing no errors nothing - I've tried uninstalling 3 times and nothing I was really looking forward to this hack too

SnapOff Racing 09-23-2008 04:31 AM

everytime i click on the mood i want it does nothing. is there a rewrite to make it work with vbseo or what? help!

Sweeks 09-23-2008 09:59 AM

When I was first installing this I had nothing but bad luck, it wouldnt show anywhere on the board. The main one to get working is the selector which is $vmoods or $moods I think, cant remember which one. Try placing it in the navbar template or if you have a member control panel on your forum home, then inside there.

Hope you have some luck too :)

I click on a mood and it won't change. Pretty poor.

Uninstalled.

marlena 09-28-2008 01:35 AM

i have searched this thread for an answer and hope i did not pass it over,
however I recently installed vBadvanced and the drop down list for the mood shows up on the portal however all the images have red X's on them. When you go to the index page of my forums the images display with no problem.
Any ideas?

SnapOff Racing 09-28-2008 09:53 AM

that's because vbcmps is a +++++ and you have to copy all hacks' images to your cmps directory.

easiest way is to right-click on the red x, see where it's looking for the images, and then actually put them there. that's the easiest way around it.

OK I feel dumb for not thinking to check the paths.
I put the images where it was searching for them (in fact the entire vbmoods folder) and now the images show up but you can't select another mood from the cmps
any ideas?

SnapOff Racing 09-28-2008 03:29 PM

nope! same problem for me, which is why im not happy with this mod.

okay thanks for helping me to get the images to at least load :)

Mazinger 09-29-2008 01:22 PM

The images loads even without clicking the drop menu to show them... and that causes my forum to be very slow until all of moods' images are loaded. Is there anything that can stop that and load the moods the same behaviour vBulletin loads smilies drop down menu (they don't load unless you click the drop down menu).

I'm in hurry. :)

Try using the selector in a different template altogether, keep testing it out in different locations and eventually it wont do that, I had the same problem here. I got it to work in the navbar on its own and a right side block member panel

Trying to use in my header template, but I can't get it to stop moving. When the page first loads the image is below the "My mood" Text. After loading it's next to it. Suggestions?

I installed this hack and all is well, except one thing.....

When my users posts, their mood shows TWICE.

Ideas? I went through and redid all the templates, and everything seems fine.

You may have inserted the code in the postbit and set the Auto Edit Postbit to yes which would explain why it's showing twice. Either remove the code in the postbit or set Auto Edit Postbit to no. Or vise-versa.

knickq8 10-26-2008 06:02 PM

I am using VB Version 3.7.3 installed but noting shows on the forum. I tried tinkering with the path by ginivg the full path i.e http://www.theforumpath.com/vmoods but still no show.

I did all as per the readme. Uploaded the vmoods to the root folder. Imported the product xml and enabled the mod from the admincp.. The forum does not show anything... pls help

SuperNissans 10-26-2008 11:55 PM

Sorry, but what is auto edit postbit? Never heard of it and searching didnt help much....

Log into your admincp >> vbulletin options & scroll down untill you see vbmoods by zone365.com. highlight that and press edit and ensure that Auto Edit Postbit is set to no. Alternatively, if this is set to no, ensure you have not inserted the code twice in the postbit/postbit_legacy template.

You should have been in the options menu already when you first enabled the script so you may have selected the Auto Edit Postbit selection to yes and still applied the code in the post template when you didn't need to.

GoTTi 11-01-2008 10:40 PM

Make sure you create a folder vmoods and place the vmoods file in it. I couldnt get it to work until I realized that. Now it works.

tafreeh 11-12-2008 04:58 AM

okay, its working perfectly fine with my default skins, but not the one i m using it currently....

The_White_Eagle 11-17-2008 06:35 PM

I like it very much but on importing I get this error:

Code:

Message

    No file uploaded and no local file found.

tidefans 11-18-2008 04:16 PM

in the postbit, I'm getting the following error message in my error logs
File does not exist: ... /vmoods/images/.gif

This happens when someone doesn't indicate a mood and thus it is empty.

How do I prevent "My Mood:" from showing up in the postbit if mood is empty?

SpottySocks 11-21-2008 11:22 AM

I've been told that in Opera it looks like this (see attachment)

Can this be solved? Many thanks.

Still getting this error... below is what my vmoods template shows:

Code:

<style type="text/css" id="vmoods_css">

$vboptions[vmoods_css]
-->
</style>

<div id="vmoods-container"><p class="smallfont">$vbphrase[vmoods_my_mood]</p>

                <span id="vmoods-none"<if condition="$bbuserinfo[vmood] != 'none'">style="display:none;"</if>>$vbphrase[vmoods_change_my_mood]</span>

                <script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("vmoods", 1); </script>

I've played around with this too but I haven't been able to avoid the issue of the "red X" for users who haven't set their mood. This has been true since the release of the latest version. It didn't seem to happen with the previous release.

LGKeiz 12-29-2008 07:04 AM

$vmood_form doesn't work.. even with auto add disabled.

Stormraven 12-30-2008 11:32 AM

I have got this installed and I'm having problems, i downloaded and put the mood feature on my website but the only thing is i updated the image (another mod i think, someone did it for me)

but i replaced the old images for example these:

http://www.zanokin.co.uk/vmoods/images/Amused.gif

and the new images are more professional like these ones?

http://www.zanokin.co.uk/vmoods/images/Alienated.gif

------

but for some reason im getting a mixture of images for example some of the new images and the old ones, here is a screen shot:

http://wimg.co.uk/hmCKO8.jpg - see some of them are mixed? how do i get this fixed? my website is www.zanokin.co.uk by the way :)
