Thanx for reply.

Not all usergroups album pictures should be shown, no ideas how to setup this?

I want to remove this on forumhome on certain skins, how do I do that?

FYI, in English, 'dear' is a term of affection, usually used between husband and wife. Or boyfriend and girlfriend. It's not really proper to use it with friends. Or forum participants.

Digital Jedi 10-01-2008 04:26 AM

Unless your my grandpa. He called everyone dear. I'm just sayin', context and all that. ;)

Chadi 10-03-2008 03:32 AM

Can you please create an option (or new mod) for random pictures and feature to add custom location? Thanks.

Chadi 10-03-2008 06:28 PM

I noticed that pictures in moderation queue still show up anyway in forumhome. Please fix this.

Are they showing up for you as an admin, or are they showing up for everyone?

Its indeed a bug. I just tested it as a regular member. Uploaded a photo and even that member can view the moderated photo (not approved yet).

I also noticed that guests cannot view the mod unless logged in as a member. Not sure if that is deliberately done.

Latest Posts Setting

Go to your admin cp, then:
vBulletin Options -> Latest Album Picture - Forum Home ->
I must be blind, but that option is not there in vboptions area at all. I did a "show all settings" and searched "lastest album picture" nothing found.

edit: its actually "album picture - forum home" not "latest album picture - forum home"

I have always had the same problem , could never fix it

the stig 10-07-2008 08:44 AM

this is great . One little problem:

Right below the picture it shows

a. members name
b. albums name

But I would like to see

a. Members name or albums name (doesn't matter)
b. Picture description (this is a must)

is this possible??

MonCher 10-07-2008 06:59 PM

This is really a great feature for the forum that I'm building. I was so happy that it was easy to install and had such simple instructions.

Question: Is there a place where I can put the maximum image size so I can make sure my random pictures are all the same size?

Thanks again! You've been nominated :)

Videx 10-07-2008 07:42 PM

Picture size in user albums is set in the Usergroup Manager>User Album Permissions. Of course, there's no minimum size, so you'll still have some odd ones.

VBVersion 3.7.3

Oh my gosh. Since I've added this no one can upload pictures to their album.
When the users try they get the following messages:

1) Imageinfo Failed:
sh: /usr/local/bin/identify: No such file or directory

2) Invalid File

Does anyone know if uploading this mod may have changed the file or directory? If so,
how do I restore it.

PROBLEM FIXED! The image path for ImageMagick was wrong. I don't think it had anything to do with mod. It just happened at the same time.

Thanks for the help!

would also like to allow guests to view pics on forum home, does not work for me. I set the option for unregistered to view albums, but it still doesnt work. Did anyone get that working?

TsirhCitna 10-12-2008 07:47 PM

My default style must be missing a hook or something so I just manually add the code.

For anyone who wants to place this in another location manually just ad this code to where you would like it.

HTML Code:

<table class="tborder" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]" border="0" width="100%" align="center">
<tbody>
<tr>
    <td class="tcat">
<if condition="$vboptions['afm_cb']"><a style="float:$stylevar[right]" href="#top" onclick="return toggle_collapse('afm_box')"><img id="collapseimg_afm_box" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/collapse_thead$vbcollapse[collapseimg_afm_box].gif" alt="" border="0" /></a></if>
        <if condition="$vboptions['afm_dt']==2">$vbphrase[afm_sec6]<else />$vbphrase[afm_latestpicture]</if>
    </td>
</tr>
</tbody>
<if condition="$vboptions['afm_cb']">
<tbody id="collapseobj_afm_box" style="$vbcollapse[collapseobj_afm_box]">
</if>
<tr>
    <td class="alt1" style="text-align:justify">
<table width="100%" align="center" cellpadding="$stylevar[cellpadding]" cellspacing="$stylevar[cellspacing]">
<tr>
$resimler
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
<if condition="$vboptions['afm_cb']">
</tbody>
</if>
</table>
<br />

Has anyone been able to find a fix by any chance?

afm_latestfm

That is where the table border is located.

i156 10-23-2008 12:43 AM

I've seen this asked twice in this thread with no answer. I have a mobile style that it is showing up in and I can't figure out how to turn it off. I don't want this coming up in the mobile style as it kind of defeats the purpose when you have to download all the pictures when you load the forum home. Please let me know if there is a way to do this.

If I'm not mistaken, it uses a template hook or a phrase. You may have to delete the template hook or phrase from your mobile style.

This is a fanastic addition to my forum, many thanks for the mod.

I have a request / question, is there anyway I can change it so that it takes the latest photo from a FORUM Category, rather than members albums?

We've got the same problem, permission has been granted to unregistered/not logged in but still not viewable to guests!

I had this when I was trying to configure a paid usergroup.

Can't remember exactly which setting resolved it, but it was something to do with either attachments options/or viewing profiles.

It's definately linked to another option as it worked when I messed about with them.

ChaosBurnt 10-25-2008 04:47 PM

Thanks NetRover, it was the setting to allow guests to view profiles themselves, of course opening profiles to guests board wide is unfair on members so I've also installed the profile privacy mod as well so members will have the option for privacy.:up:

Is it possible to show, for example, 3 latest images and 2 random?

rob01 10-29-2008 07:58 PM

Nadeemjp 10-30-2008 05:49 AM

hello atakan.

2 questions:
1) does this be usable with 3.7.3?

3) in the demo, i saw something else and got interested. it is the forum icons. can you please tell how to install those in my forum also? and can you please make a hack/mod for public?

thank you.

downloaded so far and if it is usable with 3.7.3, i shall click install too.

manuelsechi 10-30-2008 10:40 AM

does it works for registered users only?
