Finally got back and upgraded to 1.2 and I must say its freaking awesome! Great job on it The Geek  to you! Would it be possible for you to add a little bit of explication to the Tutorial Here on how/what we need to do to add support for those sites that require the Extract Info option to be enabled? Such as how do we create or know what to put in the "Embedding Regexp" under the "Extraction Information" section.

Simply Import it to the AME CP after you've downloded it ... AmdinCP > AME CP > Import > Browse

"Stage6 · George Carlin"

Hi, unfortunately that is something I cannot control. If you look at every page from Stage6 you see that the title is "Stage6 ? Video_Name_Here" ... Because of the "?" in the title, it shows up as · on your Embed Code. Stage6 would have to change their code if this is something that you do not want to appear on your Forums. Although, there a solution ... You could simply uncheck the "Extract Info" option from the Settings for the DivX Stage6 Videos, and it will display "DivX Stage6 Videos" on the title, instead of the Title of the actual video. Hope that helps you out ...

Thanks Danny ;)

nix 07-16-2007 02:54 AM

Stage6 doesn't need to change their code. Its doable.

iogames 07-16-2007 04:46 PM

Hi!
I think The Geek, Danny & Nix understand media better than everybody, can you include or modify this bbCode cause it keeps failing please...

InTeNsE-HuMoR 07-16-2007 05:34 PM

I think i'll switch to this mod as the original one is no longer supported or updated with new video sites. I have attached a .txt file with some BB codes you could add (they converted first).

Nix, I'm sure it might be doable, but not from my point of things. The Geek would have to modify the hack coding for it to happen, as from the user level (managing the AME CP) that is something that cannot be changed.

I'll check and see what I can do for your guys ... Cant promise much as I'm really busy, but I'll try and give it a shot later today

InTeNsE-HuMoR 07-16-2007 06:03 PM

@Dannyloski Please re-download the attachment (if you have already) as I added an update with LiveVideo embed code. Thanks.

Dannyloski 07-16-2007 08:40 PM

Okay Guys,

Here is another .xml that includes Support for ClipShack, CurrentVid, and LiveVideo ... Enjoy support for these sites guys, just import this attached .XML and it'll add these sites automatically.

I know that some people have requested support for IGN, Sharkle, Break, eSnips, and a couple other sites - I want to let you guys know that I am trying my best, but I am not able to add support for those sites just yet. First, I need to get a hold of The Geek so that he can explain to me or do a Tutorial on how the new "Embedding Regexp" setting works. After he explains I will be able to get the RegExs for those sites working (hopefully) ... Until then, enjoy support for the sites attached here ...

Thanks in advance....

Any luck at all with these ? :)

InTeNsE-HuMoR 07-16-2007 10:00 PM

@Dannyloski thanks alot!

Dannyloski 07-16-2007 10:56 PM

InTeNsE-HuMoR, no problem  ... I know you downloaded the .xml attached in the Post# 368, could you re-download and import it again. I upgraded it to make it work at 100% now. It wasn't supporting all of LiveVideo's Links and CurrentVid Links weren't working properly. Now it's fixed. Before you re-import manually delete the other ClipShack, CurrentVid, and LiveVideo Files that are installed already under the AME CP > Display section (if you do not do this you will receive some display errors). Thanks.

MajorFm.com, did you receive my Reply to the PM you sent me a while back?

DieselMinded 07-17-2007 12:51 AM

To Whomit may concern , This Is really Jacking up my latest posts On the bottom of the home page , Its showing the videos on the home page ,,,

www.dieselbombers.com

I have a test thread going with all the videos from each supported site posted

HELP GEEK !

I have a temp fix by putting
Quote:

.................................................. .................................................. ........................
in front of the video link

Dannyloski 07-17-2007 01:09 AM

^ What? I'm a bit lost and dont understand much of what the problem is. Please explain clearly and elaborate a bit more.

You ALWAYS use the Link/URL given from the Video site or the one on the Address Bar of your browser, NOT the Embed Code.

djjeffa 07-17-2007 01:20 AM

Dannyloski, I appreciate you getting revver.com to work for me. Is there anyway you can get it to work for a link like this also?

http://one.revver.com/watch/286169/flv/affiliate/71863

I know the common number is 71863

Thanks if you can

Dannyloski 07-17-2007 01:20 PM

^ No problem, done! ... Delete the Revver .XML File that you imported to your AME CP and re-download the new one added to Post# 379 ...

Hello,

Thanks again.

Everytime I try to add a revver link it shows me a redirect with this message:

This post is a duplicate of a post that you have posted in the last five minutes. You will be redirected to that thread.

Also I messed up before in the last thread:

http://one.revver.com/watch/205218/flv/affiliate/71863

The numbers in bold and red are the video id

Thanks again

Finster 07-17-2007 06:18 PM

So when the player stops working and one gets an error message that says something about updating Adobe flash player tags even though I have the latest flash player, what is up with that?

Also, dumb question alert, where within the admin cp do I find which version I had installed?

Thanks guys!

Dannyloski 07-17-2007 06:18 PM

jasculs, re-download Revver.xml, go into your AME CP and delete the Revver that appears there, then re-import the downloaded file.

1) Admin CP > AME CP > Display > Find "Revver Videos" > Delete

2) Re-Download Revver.xml > Admin CP > AME CP > Import > Import Revver.xml

PS. I know that the video id was the the first set of numbers not the second one, I ignored it when you mentioned it before. I found a small bug on the RegEx that was causing your error, its fixed in the new uploaded Revver.xml on Post# 379 ...

Finster, what do you mean when the player stops working? Could you explain a little bit more in detail what the problem is and how I can reproduce it? Also to see which version of AME you're running, do this:

AdminCP > Plugin & Products > Manage Products > Find "AME - The Automatic Media Embeder" > Look in "Version" Colum for Version Info

DieselMinded 07-17-2007 06:46 PM

Thanks for the help Via PMS Dannyloski

I had HTML BB Code Enabled and it was Jacking thei MOd Up a bit Also theres some confusion as to what links to use on the video sites

The Embed code, The URL , The share Link ect...

I have a thread with each xml made to date for this posted , You have to be a member to see it tho ,

To get this thread to work i had to use the links to the video sites from all different areas and not just on the URL bar .

I need to go in and try to redo the ones where i used the embed code now that HTML is turned off to see if the link in the url bar works ,

WE REALLY need to make this to where the End User can use what ever link they want to ojn the video sites and all the unneeded stuff drops off ,,,, Cant You Do it ?

jasculs 07-17-2007 07:00 PM

Dannyloski,

Thanks a lot...you are very helpful and that worked

Dannyloski 07-17-2007 07:01 PM

No problem, glad to help you guys out ...

DiesellMinded, as far as making it so that the End User can use any of the links in the Video Sites and having this work, that would be up to the coder of the .XML's and if he/she is willing to go through the trouble of making the RegExs work like that.

Personally I tried to make my RegEx so that the End User can use any of the links that are provided by the Video Sites and have the Video still show up on the Post. However, I did not add support for the Embed Code. There is no reason why someone would add the Embed Code into to a Post (I dont see why someone would do that). If they place a Link to the Video into their Post, then it will be converted into the Video automatically - this is what this system achieves.

jasculs 07-17-2007 07:22 PM

Ok..new requests :-)

www.vimeo.com
www.veoh.com
www.grouper.com (I think this one will need to be extracted)

Thanks in advance for anyone who can do these

Thanks And I would like to comment ...

Most of my users are not puter savvy , When wanting to post a video on the site , The Obvious Choice on there behalf would be to use the EMBED code to Embed it in there posts.

Its just one of them things that make since .

Sometimes when they do this the AME makes 2 videos in the same post of the same thing

Ill Request that all xmls that are submitted to be formated with the proper code to allow end users to use any link available on the specific video site to identify the file .

In the mean time i will post a FYI to only use the links in the URL , But you know how the FYIs go its going to come up sooner or later

Thanks to all who have contributed to this its a nice feature on my site and gets used often

Attached is support for Vimeo and Veoh ... Enjoy!

At this point it wont support Grouper Videos because I have yet to understand how the "Embedding RegEx" option works and The Geek is on vacation now, so he cannot explain it. After he has explained it I might be able to add support for Grouper Videos.

DiesellMinded, I am gonna go ahead and say this: I personally am not gonna add support for the Embed Code to my RegEx's and I am almost 100% sure that other people who submit RegEx's will not either. The Embed Code is to be used on sites where HTML is allowed to be entered, if you allow HTML on your vB that is a high security risk that you'll be dealing with. If you would like to have support for Embed Codes then I suggest you Download RegexBuddy and take their Tutorial (pretty intense) then you can create your own RegExs that support the Embed Code.

DieselMinded 07-17-2007 09:20 PM

Thanks !

Thanks again, though after importing the vimeo and veoh plugin I get this error:

Warning: preg_replace() [function.preg-replace]: Compilation failed: range out of order in character class at offset 44 in /includes/ame_bbcode.php on line 414

pspcrazy 07-17-2007 09:45 PM

Well when i try to inport the gametrailers or mov plugin, and import it using product upload or plugin upload it doesn't work. where do i import it?

Dannyloski 07-17-2007 09:48 PM

jasculs, Oh man, sorry bout that, I thought I had uploaded the most recent file, I uploaded the wrong one ... please delete the files from your AME CP and re-download the .xml and import it ... Damn, what's going on with me today, too many mistakes, lmao ...

pspcrazy, these RegExs are not Products nor Plugins do NOT use the Product Manager to import these files. Do the following:

AdminCP > AME CP > Import > Import the .xml Files you downloaded

pspcrazy 07-17-2007 09:54 PM

Thanks for that, i had to refresh the admin cp to notice lol.

^ That will require the "Extract Info" Feature and I still dont know how to make RegExs with that option, sorry ...

any chance of getting it to work with ebaumsworld.com ?
