nix, your txt files is about as easy to decipher as hyrogliphics... (just kidding... but it is really jumbled)

Any plans on making the format a little easier to work with? :)

nix 07-12-2007 01:47 AM

look in the do not upload folder.

testebr 07-12-2007 01:47 AM

I love your job. I will try to do a donation soon for your paypal.

Sorry man, I don't mean to try your patience, but all I see in there is a bunch of blank web pages with template code in some dialog boxes.

nix 07-12-2007 01:53 AM

open the install.html with your browser.

IE's finicky, I guess...

I see it now.

When I just tried to double click the file, it comes up blank. Opening it from IE brings it up.

Thanks for your patience.

I don't remember where i seen the radio hack. They were showing it off in a thread.

ronzorelli 07-12-2007 02:38 AM

nix 07-12-2007 02:41 AM

Do you see the M button?

Are all the video sites that you want to use enabled?

Is the setting "enable video sites globally" enabled?

If all the above are yes try this.

past this link.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpVxsZojPUA

Highlight it and press the M button. It should wrap it in [media] tags.

submit it. What does it say?

If you're still having problems let me know and I'll take a look at it.

Not sure what problems you're having. Do you want to remove the link or remove the title?

To remove the link just turn off enable downloads. I don't have a setting to remove the title. I can add one later.

Just PM your site and I'll take a look.

I don't even get the M button...
everything is uploaded where it needs to be... all the mods are done correctly... I have it set the way I want in the admin cp under options, and the user groups can use the bbcode...

When I try to post and try it, the post dialog box window takes awhile to load and does not show the M

Awesome, thanks so much! Working great for me.

One minor nitpick. I notice on most video sites, the page has their name in the title. (Not all though; Google video doesn't seem to, for example.)

This is a bit redundant here since the source site is already identified in the player's UI. Would there be a way to filter this out so only the video clip's title is shown?

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2007/07/35.jpg

SpikedHumor.com obnoxiously shows it twice:

Ok, I disabled it... then enabled it... weird. It's working.

Question about rm files.... does it actually try to load the video to play it?

I'm looking to point it to some rm videos I have on another site and when I put the link inbetween the media tags, it just hangs. I'm wondering if it's due to the size. They're 50-80 mb video files.

Tralala 07-12-2007 03:14 AM

Testing clips from a bunch of sites. Noticing that:

CurrentTV.com is not working. Getting "Error: unsupported media type." Got a sample link that I can try?

Video from http://www.vsocial.com/ is playing automatically, even though I have AUTOSTART turned off.

iFilm's clips are not showing the title underneath the controls like the others are.

nix 07-12-2007 03:27 AM

I'll look into the RM's. I don't even have it installed.

Fixed currentTV. Had the wrong address in there. DOH.

The play auto is a feature of the site. The play auto in the admin options is for using the built in player for videos or mp3 etc.

I'll see if I can get that site to not auto play.

I'll look into the titles also.

This which line?
Is php5.2.1 have deafault disable or not?

nix 07-12-2007 07:05 AM

You have to compile PHP for cURL support. Most webhost have it already. Just do a php.info and search for curl. If it shows up you have it.

nix 07-12-2007 08:39 AM

Make sure your anymedia template is the latest. I've tested it in IE 6,7 and it works fine. If you're still having problems pm me your details to your forum and I'll take a look.

testebr 07-12-2007 12:28 PM

Hi nix, can you review yahoo video support?

This url didn't work:

Code:

[media]http://br.video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=666528&fr=&cache=1[/media]
Test it ;)

christian8a 07-13-2007 02:59 AM

Hey I downloaded this like 2 months ago. Now there are more sites, how do I upgrade it? :D

nix 07-13-2007 03:21 AM

click install, upload files import product.

christian8a 07-13-2007 03:49 AM

Ops I forgot the install bud, sorry. Ok so I did upload and import. but now the flv player that was before is gone right? or did I do something wrong?

Here are 2 links where theres still some vids that has the flv player and some others were replaced for the new vers

http://www.myls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=463

And one replaced that had the same flv player chosen for metacafe videos both by the way.

http://www.myls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=319

nix 07-13-2007 04:10 AM

Its still there but most sites block the player from streaming the video unless they have an api. So i just took that option out. Didn't know it worked on some of them still.

Not sure why that link not working. I'll look into it.

christian8a 07-13-2007 04:55 AM

Is it normal that now the activate this control" box comes up?

nix 07-13-2007 05:28 AM

Thats an IE thing.

halcyoncmdr 07-13-2007 06:34 AM

Hey Nix, I mentioned this earlier but I thin kit got lost in the shuffle at the end of the page :p

I am curious if it is possible to have the download link option be user-selectable as well. For example there would be an AdminCP option for global download links, and then it could be disabled for each individual media embed if you wanted. Just an idea I had suddenly

nix 07-13-2007 07:51 AM

I'm sure its possible. I'll look into it for 3.1

RedGTiVR6 07-13-2007 10:07 PM

I know this might be very difficult to implement, but it's worth a shot.

On our forum we have a number of attachment types allowed. One of which is .pdf.

I love the way this mod handles showing .pdfs to people, but I don't want it to handle every other attachment we have,

Would it be possible to pull the list of allowed attachments and make it into a list in this mod where you can select which types of attachments you want the media player to handle?

Thanks for all of your hard work btw!

nix 07-13-2007 11:03 PM

Yea I should be able to do that. I'll add it on the list for 3.1

christian8a 07-13-2007 11:12 PM

Ok got everything to work Fine I guess, Nice feature

One more question though... to use it on vbadvanced CMP what do I have to add on the templates, any toughts

nix 07-13-2007 11:58 PM

The only thing you might have to do is edit the anymedia template to match your forum path. But most of the features should work with Vbadvnaced. I have it working on a test install with no changes needed.
