okay so I uploaded the files and the xml product page but I still can't see the "send a pm" row in users? Where did I do wrong?

We are really missing this mod !
I use it to send my moderators a PM from time to time (sometimes weekly).

Any body ?

mgurain 11-28-2010 04:31 PM

It works successfully with 4.0.x !
We need it to be enhanced too:
- usergroups to be deselected by default, or a (deselect all link).
Thanks,,

SouthEastSxS 12-02-2010 04:55 PM

When I used this on 4.0.4 it sent out an email not a PM.

maryx 12-10-2010 11:40 AM

I was told this would work on 4.x,

I run 4.08. I just tried this, imported with no problems, refreshed many times, but still no "Send PM to Users" link in "Users" section. Very frustrating.

I tried another Mass PM hack, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showt...36#post2127536 it also doesn't work, see my comment.

Would really love to have some help on this to make any of these hacks work for 4.08

I really need a mass PM feature! Help!

soundbarrierpro 12-20-2010 01:00 PM

Still working, on 3.7.2. Thank you. Needed this.

blazinchuck 12-20-2010 10:04 PM

do i need to create a "upload folder" in my server? cuz im not finding that folder in the server. any thoughts please, thanks

blazinchuck 12-20-2010 10:57 PM

ok, i created a "UPLOAD" file to the server(and moved all the files to the new folder in the server), then imported the XML file...ive refresh a couple of time, but still dont see the mass PM option in the users area

No you don't create an "UPLOAD" folder...
Some files go into your existing includes folder and the rest into your admincp directory- but you may have renamed admincp to something else when you first installed.

hmm...wish it just said that, I see the "includes "folder...so which files go in there and do I import the others through my admincp?? cuz i didnt see a folder with that name thanks,Chuck

BirdOPrey5 12-21-2010 09:00 PM

you don't import anything at this point... on your FTP server you should have your forums folder... inside that should be both includes and whatever you called admincp

the file hn_masspm.php goes into your admincp directory so /forums/admincp/ basically

The file cpnav_hn_masspm.xml goes in yoru xml folder inside your includes folder inside of forums, so: /forums/includes/xml

Only after those two files are uploaded to the proper places do you import the product xmll file: product-hn_masspm.xml

When you see an "upload" folder, that just means that contents outside that folder are not meant for uploading. The contents of the folder should have had the same folder structure as your vBulletin directory (with the exception that you've renamed your admincp folder to something else, which not everyone does). You should be able to move everything in that folder in one swoop. You should be overwriting folders with the same name. So you just grab the two folders inside UPLOAD and drop them into your main forum directory.

when I send out pm's to all my members I get this, why does this happen

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 41 bytes) in /home/exercise/public_html/forum/includes/functions.php on line 4010

You would need to show the error to your host and ask them if you can get your limit increased. Or send out smaller groups of messages at a time.

BirdOPrey5 01-19-2011 12:49 PM

How many users are you trying to send to? If it's a really huge number it just may not be able to handle it.

FReeSTER 01-31-2011 08:42 PM

Works perfect on vb4.0.8 pl2:up::D

Fungsten 02-10-2011 11:57 PM

Sorry. Wrong thread.

bigtree 03-20-2011 05:20 AM

This was working great until 4.1.2 . I love this mod.
Its still working via PM but the email notification is showing raw html now. Does anyone have this problem or know of a fix for me?

Thanks!

Hi guys,

This mod has worked perfectly for me for a long time but just recently on one of my forums I am getting the following messages when I try to use it:

I have upgraded to vb 3.8.7 Patch Level 1 but that still did not fix the issue.

Apache version 2.2.17
PHP version 5.3.6

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yilmaz 08-10-2011 12:40 AM

Works perfect on vb 4.1.5

tumanix 08-14-2011 02:50 PM

maupz 09-06-2011 09:15 PM

Working On 4.1.4

I used the post 215 mod to the Product and everything seems to be OK, I'm sharing that this product worked perfectly on vBulletin 4.1.4 Patch 2

regards

oxblood12 03-13-2012 07:46 PM

thanks grate product

mgurain 04-13-2012 06:50 AM

It still works with 4.1.12 Thanks,
but I wonder how it's still works in 4.x and it was made for 3.6 !
That also means, vbulletin ACP system has not change much since that date !
Could you make a version of it for 4.x so that people know it is compatible for 4.x ?

Regrads,,

I've just installed it and did the edit from post 215 too, installed on vB 4.1.5 and all works fine.

Boofo 05-03-2012 09:08 AM

I would test it thoroughly before I made that claim.

MikeBeams 05-03-2012 11:43 PM

Love this mod, but were looking to let more users use this mod without them having the power of using everything in the users section. Anything possible for this?

uzaklar19 06-29-2012 05:28 PM

Works for 3.8.4 excelent...

Thank you very much, nice job...

Psycho-Killer 10-24-2012 07:38 PM

Hi guys, So I've installed this onto my forum and I've just tested it but links don't come up as links. I've tried BBcode and also html but nothing seems to work. Is there something I'm missing? I've tried turning HTML on but it's still not done it.

Can someone help me please.

To post a click-able link in a Mass PM, you use the BB Code URL tags.

Code:

{url}https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=141622&page=27{/url}
Replace { with [  & } with ]

Example:
Link.. https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...141622&page=27

killerford 12-11-2012 05:46 PM

Thanks for the reply mate, that works a treat :)

jdougher 01-03-2013 09:48 AM

I use this mod, but it hangs after sending about 2500 or so PMs. Any ideas? Some kind of memory limit exceeded?

solarboy 01-05-2014 05:33 AM

Maybe. I send over 20 thousand emails in one session , so I can guarantee it works.
Try reducing the number of emails sent at once maybe.

fxdigi-cash 04-22-2014 01:32 AM

Thanks, works great on vb4.2.2
