is it possible to have more than one user group able to sell I can only set it to the registered user to sell, and can I have more than one currency?

Blaine0002 02-22-2007 04:19 PM

you need to create a userid and then set the usergroup id you have created in the Admincp

you can also set your currency symbol in there, default is $

Blaine0002 02-24-2007 11:47 PM

expect a new version soon :D

mat.knott 02-26-2007 05:27 PM

i have this installed now but it dont seem to close the auctions after? is there a simple fix to this as im running a charity auction tomorrow and so need to try and get it fixed asap

steven_h 02-26-2007 07:29 PM

Nice addon Blaine... I was wondering if this also would or could support reverse auctions? I am developing a gamerz site and would like to have an area where coders/developers and clients can actually bid on work offers/requests. Customers would bid up a coders rate for projects and in reverse, coders/devlopers would bid down a clients work request.

Any ideas regarding this?

Thank in advance

Blaine0002 02-26-2007 08:00 PM

not sure steven_h, i would need to look into that type of auction more,

Mat, make sure the 'close auctions' cron isnt running on just sunday, seems that is happening to people,

Oh, and remember to click install! :D

mat.knott 02-26-2007 08:41 PM

sorry im new to all this... where do i check the cron?

clicks install

mat.knott 02-26-2007 08:43 PM

ignore that i found it :)

i take it i change day to *

what about hour and min? do they need to be changed at all?

Blaine0002 02-26-2007 09:05 PM

nope, their current settings will run the script once every 10 minutes.

cerulean 03-05-2007 02:50 PM

Blaine, any update on when the pics will start to work?

Blaine0002 03-05-2007 08:42 PM

next release :)

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=134603

wow, just finally gettin around to this and it works. Thanks alot. Installed

Chicago_VLNU_4s 03-11-2007 07:12 AM

some questions:

- How do you enter your paypal account when creating an auction (see pic below).
- How do you upload pics? I made one and put a max of 5 pics, entered 5 for how many pics I wanted and no follow-up.
- When I click on "My Vbay", there's nothing that comes up

In the future i will add paypal support, have a buy it now feature, add Trader reputation and a closed auction section.
Very nice mod!!!

Any rough idea when those features will be added?

Also, will this mod automatically deduct a percentage for the site?

Looking forward to the final product.

Thanks,

JakeS 03-12-2007 11:50 AM

$100 dollars for a peace of paper :O

Great Idea, the only thing is I think some people might use this on their forum and it may start making people get scammed.

Blaine0002 03-12-2007 03:59 PM

I have no liability over what people do with their software, it would be sad if they did that, but there is no way i can stop it.

Thanks for the suggestions and bug reports, i am working on things :)

TRF 03-15-2007 08:47 AM

this is a great add on thanks for creating, cant wait to see the release for the images etc..

SledgeHammer101 03-17-2007 11:01 PM

First I want to say thanks for this great hack!
But I have a problem with the images, theres no was to upload any images. Will there be an update on this ?

Blaine0002 03-18-2007 02:59 AM

cool, that seems like the biggest problem. The paypal account thing should be a breeze though. Also.. a nice feature would be sub-categories. That way we wont have to make a million categories and it all can be organized :)

SledgeHammer101 03-18-2007 04:07 PM

I'm excited for the next update. Thanx Blaine !

Exactly Same Problem for me :(
Idea is Greate But still needs fixing

Blaine0002 03-20-2007 04:44 PM

it does not need fixing, as i have stated many times earlier in the topic, these ideas have not yet been implimented.

I am seriously interested in this, Blaine. Heck, I'd donate if there were a stable version. I was thinking about using phpAuction for my site, but since this is just another mod for vBulletin it's much more attractive. One less peice of software I have to install and worry about how it works!

I'm looking forward to a working version, hopefully sometime this year...right?

Here I am again, quoting myself from a couple pages and a couple hundred posts back. If you can polish this baby up and get it stable, I'm ready and willing to pay for it. Just some incentive, and good work so far. Some people seem not to understand that certain aspects of the script don't work yet and aren't meant to. I don't get people sometimes...

Blaine0002 03-22-2007 12:29 AM

yes i am working on it, but i am trying to balance it out with school, drivers ed and 2 other mods.

MarkJW 03-22-2007 12:39 AM

No rush, I was just congratulating you on a job almost well done. ;)

Good luck!

Blaine0002 03-25-2007 07:31 PM

I am really not wanting to reply to some of these posts >_>

chuckrobbie 03-26-2007 11:51 AM

What a fabulous idea...pity it does not work!

Blaine0002 03-26-2007 01:40 PM

Actually it does work, and it works fine, it just needs to be upgraded with aditional features.

MarkJW 03-26-2007 11:40 PM

Slap a "BETA" sticker in huge bold letters at the top of your description and maybe some people will start noticing, lol.

Eejits, the lot of them uneducated posters.

Lionel 03-28-2007 09:59 AM

I get a javascript error on do=post (object does not support this property or method) I think it's caused by the editor.

Benj 03-28-2007 10:21 AM

sweeet...... ill be trying this

RichieBoy67 03-31-2007 06:53 PM

Great mod by the way...

Thanks
