Will you be adding new moods? I got a few ideas on moods....
Ex: Lazy, Excited, etc... |
I don't think I'll be adding new moods. The system allows users to add new moods themselves, and it comes with quite a few already.
|
Thank you hambil

Thought this may be better in a post so that others may know what to do if it happens to them
Hi - Was wondering if you could tell me what may be wrong. The moods were all working just fine all day. They were all listed. Went to sleep. Then at 4:40 AM I just went to change the mood on mine and there were none listed in the pull down. Can you tell me what to try and do? Thanks, noreturn |
I got the same thing, what I realized was when I got the blank mood list it was because I was not at Main Forums screen, but rather some subordinate screen.
Once I went back to main screen they were all there. Hopefully yours is same issue... |
Thats exactly what it was.
|
Wow thanks for this! :D
|
I know this isn't my mod, but i did build about 150 different animated moods http://https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/sh...d.php?t=129645
|
I did all the manual template edits and installed the plugin (with allow overwrite on), but the mood drop down is not displaying on the navbar. Any ideas why this is happening?

I also just checked the wol, and heres what it says for my location: "/forums/images/mood/11.gif Unknown Location /forums/images/mood/11.gif" |
Looks fine. In fact I just registered and set my mood.
|
It's odd, it seems to only not work for me. I logged in as my news account and it worked there. Why wouldn't it work for just me?
Here's what i see: Also, here's the page source of that section: Code:
My Mood: <a href="#" id="moods"><img src="images/mood/11.gif" border="0" /></a> <script type="text/javascript"> vbmenu_register("moods", 1); </script> |
Mine kind of works... It shows on the homepage, then only shows your mood if u refresh the page. But shows nothing on inside pages except the words Mood: Any ideas what I am doing wrong? stupidworld.net
|
I fixed my problem by renaming all the images numerically (each mood renamed to its alphabetical equivalent number, eg. Aggressive = 1, Amazed = 2, etc.).
If anyone else is having the same problem, extract the attached zip into your "images/mood" folder (leaving the named moods). |
hotwheels moods are a great addition to the mood manager!
|
Anyone know if this will work with vb 3.5.x

using FF, on the home page it doesn' work... inside it does. is this a known issue?
I'm doing a redesign, so if you look at the site you have choose the KSPX version on the bottom ,thats where I'm working on getting this to work just FYI |
Question:
Is there a way to make a custom mood? |

I've made some custom ones using Animation Shop, they're posted here in Graphics or something, but I can make you some, if you like...what do you have in mind?
EDIT: Here's the post with my zip...:) https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....6&postcount=74 |
I'm not really sure what the delay has been in getting this posted to the thread - I guess Sniper got busy :) Anyway, the beta has gone well, even though only a few people participated, so I'm going to go ahead and attach the new zip here.
1.2.4 ----- - Aligned text and images for a cleaner look - Changed dropdown to contain mood images instead of text, with admin option - Added optional auto replace for postbit and postbit legacy templates |
What's with the IE and Opera issues?
Or do you recommend do use the text-only option? hm suggestion: change the option for display images by browser. eg: Display mood images Firefox Yes IE No Operea No |
IE should work fine (it auto-detects and just shows text). If you have a lot of user with Opera or some other uncommon browser then you probably want the text only option. You still get the benefit of the auto-replace and the text-image alignment.
|
I intend to add additional browser detection in 1.2.5
|
Will this help my issue thatI can't get the mood drop down to show on my front page still, just an "x" box???
|
Can this be set to be available only for a specific user group at all? I want this only to be available for my premium members.

I just installed the mood manager and everything is working fine except that the images dont appear, jut the dreaded red X. I thought I did it right, I created a moods file in Images and uploaded the .gifs that i wanted and they appear in the menu but no image? Should I have uploaded the images differently??
|
I figured it out!!! I love this mod!! I hope that the members in my site will too!! Thanks!!
