question paul on your image from your other mods its like this in the pic Total members that have visited today:2 on the top table now on mine it just shows Total members that have visited today: with out the number is there anyway to get it to show the number of members?

for example on the guest on it would say this on the top table

Total guests that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours: 522

but on this one it just shows

Total members that have visited today:

Update: if you set it to yes on Rolling 24 Hours Option it shows the number but if you set it to no reset the count at each members midnight it wont show the number hmm.

Hi Paul! Thank you for your reply!

This template hasn't any changes so I can't revert it. Any siggestions?

Paul M 01-11-2007 11:44 PM

Uninstall it, then make sure you have no rogue copies of the template, then install it again. If the correct templates are in use then I'm not sure why you cannot have a number displayed.

DementedMindz 01-11-2007 11:47 PM

I have already tried that to make sure like I said it will display one way and not the other way so Its something with the code im going to look at it in the morning.

Paul M 01-12-2007 12:04 AM

In your case it sounds like you have customised the "visited_today" phrase, when you switch mode you switch phrase as well.

Actually, the phrase being customised could be your problem as well Goodspeed.

DementedMindz 01-12-2007 01:09 AM

that was it thank you paul.

Goodspeed 01-12-2007 01:19 AM

Paul, yes, the problem was in phrase. Thank you for your help!

Paul M 01-12-2007 08:00 AM

v4.40 - fixed the table index issues, the index was not being created on install, if you already had the index from earlier versions, it wasn't being used. On larger forums this will speed up the query this runs.

Magle 01-12-2007 08:41 AM

Great, thanks. I see a speed up in regard to the average generation times on my front page. Not much of course, but enough that it should make a difference when under heavy load.

MJMoore 01-12-2007 09:08 AM

I've just upgraded, and it's now showing..

Total members that have visited the forum in the last 24 hours: %1$s 40
I tried uninstalling, then reinstalling, but it's still there.

Can anyone help? :)

MRGTB 01-12-2007 09:13 AM

Go into the templates section and take a look if the templates the hack adds when you add the plug-in are still there after you remove the plug-in. If they are, choose the option to REVERT them templates to remove them after you remove the plug-in. Then install the plug-in again.

That might be the problem, if you have made changes to the templates the plug-in adds, chances are they were not removed when you removed the plug-in and are left behind.

Lexserv 01-12-2007 09:14 AM

Do I upgrade by just overwriting or uninstall/reinstall?

Thanks.

MJMoore 01-12-2007 09:18 AM

That worked.. many thanks! :D

storpappa 01-12-2007 11:33 AM

LOL, no. A problem with my guests hack highlighted the fact that somewhere in the past the index code in these had got broken, and no one (inc me) had ever noticed.

aciurczak 01-12-2007 05:26 PM

Our servers are just getting too darned fast for our own good. In the good old days, if we didn't use an index properly, it would have been easier to catch when the query took minutes (or more) instead of seconds. :)

Brew 01-12-2007 11:36 PM

This thrashed one of my skins.

The other skins seem to work fine. It's just this one.

The tables are garbled up.

Any ideas how to fix it up?

Thanks!

edit: After installing the addon "Most ever Members, Posters, Guests and Chatters" the tables fixed themselves up :)

Sorry!

TheWhite 01-14-2007 03:02 PM

since i've updated to the newest version now i'm missing this how come????

Paul M 01-14-2007 03:16 PM

No idea. The phrase is in the file.

TheWhite 01-15-2007 01:55 AM

ok, i've pinpointed the problem its when you uninstall "who has posted today" that the word dissappears i',ve reinstalled it and now it came back so how about a fix? :)

Paul M 01-15-2007 02:13 AM

.. How about a fix please ....... ;)

The phrase is common to a number of my mods (not a brilliant idea in hindsight) reinstalling one of the others (like this one) should bring it back.

Orcun 01-16-2007 08:34 PM

The count is gone ?
Before upgrading to latest version, It was showing the amount of users. Now not Why ?

da420 01-16-2007 09:52 PM

I had the same problem, turns out I had to revert my phrases associated with this hack. I suggest you do the same.

oricon 01-17-2007 11:19 AM

Edit: I think you have linked to an image I cannot see.
