Set yourself to super administrator on the site where it is not showing up, in your includes/config.php file.

Hi

I installed this, this morning to see if it would suit our forum, But after installing when I click on the classifieds tab it takes me to this:

Dave

milcollector 02-24-2014 10:58 AM

Another problem, I gave permisions to view the classifieds to my usergroups in categories but they can't use them:

When they try to view the classifieds this message pops up.

you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Please ignore my previous question, I have found the problem. Thanks!

This mod look pretty interesting, but I have a quick question:

When you setup fees for different types of listings, are those fees paid to the owner of the site? Are there any other ways for this mod to generate income for the site?

Hi Matt

When you can... Stay pending the 'update with bug fix reported.

In the meantime, I had to downgrade to the previous version 1.0.3 because of the thousands of emails sent by mistake by vbulletin :-(

milcollector 02-24-2014 05:04 PM

After try to leave a feedback I get this error:

Database error in vBulletin 4.2.2:

Invalid SQL:

UPDATE user

dbtech_classifieds_feedbackleftcount = 0,
dbtech_classifieds_feedbackreccount = 0
WHERE userid = 88;

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'dbtech_classifieds_feedbackreccount' in 'field list'

Matt, I've got people complaining that with this system we wont have history of what was being sold and traded on our forums. They are actually right.. We'd like to have some sort of a history page where they can view all items that were being sold/unsold.

Also, if there's a way users can interact with the seller publicly like posting a question on the item or asking about a discount...etc. Just a small chat box to be under each item visible for all users who are viewing the item.

Many thanks!

I've had a similar request from another user this week for a history. I'll see what we can do to create something for you all to help with that. Regarding the chatbox, it might be possible to do something with vBShout, but you are better just encouraging users to use the discussion thread that can be created with listings. I'll look at adding a count of the posts in that thread to help users see what's being posted.

Hi Matt, I just installed your product on my two forums and on one I have a problem. In the forum where I use vBcover iBid, there is no button DBTech Classifieds in my admincp after installing. In one of the forums where I do not have vBcover iBid runs ok. Is it possible that your product is not compatibile with vBcover iBid? I want to uninstall iBid, but after some time, because there are still active listings...
Thanks!
Regards
Sasha

I can't say for sure Sasha, I've never used iBid. It might be worth double checking the files are all in the correct locations in case that's the problem.

This might be down to using rewrites. What version of vB are you using? If you have a folder on your server with the name classifieds it might be possible that it's going to that folder instead of using the rewrites correctly.

The admins can set it up so that the site receives fees to a particular PayPal account. Seller's can be charged for listing an item, and for part of it's final cost.

Try the latest Beta to see if that resolves the problem. If not, can you send me some details for your site via PM and I'll look into it.

See if the latest beta fixes the issue and if not post back here and I'll take another look at it.
