Just wanted to stop by and say thanks again for this mod. I use it daily. I have a few busy forums and I love creating global threads to create a large discussion. You are the best my friend! Thanks again.

Just a heads up. We have experienced an issue where if you make a thread global and then promote it to a CMS article no one will have permission to view the original thread. Not even superadmins.
Not a big deal really. It is simply fixed by "Don't do that." And it is no issue to just create an article directly. |
Any potential solution to this?

I'm sorry I can't reproduce the issue...
This thread global thread was promoted to an article and it's perfectly visible/fine to me and even to guests- Thread: http://www.qapla.com/mods/showthread...d-Article-Test Article: http://www.qapla.com/mods/content.ph...d-Article-Test The "Global Thread" is just 1 additional field added to the thread table that the article system would completely ignore. The only thing that makes a global thread global is a change to the query that finds threads in a specific forum- it really shouldn't have anything to do with permissions at all. I'd imagine the issue is coming from somewhere else. |

Nice mod. I'm having one weird issue where the thread goes global and after a couple of hours it de-globalizes itself. Not sure what's going on

Something similar I had when posting new messages initiated change of global state from on to off.
Check if this happens when you post new posts. |
