Hello blind-eddie! Actually I went ahead and did that. Minor issues right now. Navbar link doesn't work (dropdown menu), however, I can right click and open in another tab or window. I have another issue, but I'll look through here first to see if I can find it. Thanks!

I had to create a new nav button because the default link didn't work (the dropdown doesn't function). I can link directly to vbquiz.php in the forum directory. I'm working on how to add the dropmenu to display. I noticed I can't edit a question for typo's, etc. I can modify a quiz but that only allows me to add questions. Also matching questions quit displaying the answer worth field, not sure why as I made no other mods or uploaded any other mods since installing this. Aside from these issues, everything else works very well including usergroup permissions.
Running this in my forum directory. Is anybody running the Pro ver. on vb3.8.4pl2? Readme file indicates 3.8.7 required. Right now I'm just trying to get this demo working correctly (navbar link, question editing). I downloaded the latest ver. of this demo from the Dragonbyte site. |
I couldn't get a response from dragonbyte ref the question editing issue or the Pro ver. question. If question editing, and not just modifying that only allowed me to add questions, is not a function of the demo, then no problems. I wanted the Pro ver anyway. I don't have the time to wait days for a response, therefore it has been uninstalled. I'll find another quiz. Too bad, I like their products.

Sorry about the lack of response, the developer is currently on holiday and will be unable to answer questions until he returns.

Thank you Fillip! I wish I'd known that before uninstalling. I'm still interested. I would like to know, as per my previous, if I am able to edit questions. When I select modify questions, I only have the option to add another. I have a use for this mod in my forum, particularly the pro version so that the explanations can be viewed on incorrect answers. Thanks again.

Were you not able to edit a question via the AdminCP? There should be an edit link there?
If not, once you re-install it, feel free to PM me @ DBTech with an FTP and AdminCP account. Fillip |
Hello Fillip,
All I have is a modify link, not edit. I'll reinstall and see what happens. Thanks for the response! Ken |
Modify is the same as edit :)

That option does not allow me to correct a question. For instance, if I make a typo in a question and want to go back and fix it, I can't. I'm only given the ability to add a question. There is a drop down menu with an edit link, but that again only allows me to edit the quiz name, etc., but no ability to actually edit a question. Is editing an individual question a feature of the pro? I'm using the trial version. I want the pro, but I need to be able to edit a question that has an error.
As it is now, I have to delete the quiz and start over to fix just one typo in one question. I should also add that I have the category permissions set properly as well as my usergroup permissions. |
Can you please PM me (Belazor) @ DBTech with an FTP and AdminCP account so I can look into this for you?
