the attachments dialgue box does not show up for me even thought I have allows PM send and receive on my user groups.

any ideas why not?

by the way - this got it to work for me:

you have to go back and set all of the users pm_attachments field.

update user set pm_attachments = 3 where usergroupid in(2,5,6,7);

**EDIT** Ok Did as told and seemes to be working, I just have to mually approve each user so far.

For those of you worried about user using unlimited bandwidth, then just change it in user group settings

AdminCP ===> UserGroup Manager ===> Choose the user group ===> Scroll down to attachment settings===> max size in bytes.
