This hack went berzerk on me and started a bunch of threads welcoming "unregistered," as well as new registrants who had not yet clicked the confirmation e-mail, even though I had set it specifically to do that.

Is this a 4.0.1 glitch or is it the hack itself?

How about you read a little, It might do you some good. I am sick of answering questions that have already been answered a thousand times.

I will no longer support people who are to lazy to read.

I will no longer deal with hacks by coders who throw a fit when someone asks a question.

Uninstalled.

That works for me!!! One less lazy person to support. It isn't that you over looked it, You did not bother to read at all. It is in the very first post of this thread and several other places in the thread. I spend my time building these modifications and some of you can not take the time to read a thread. But you surly complain about a bug that has been reported several times.

I always have to answer the same question over and over.
We provide these mods free with free support the least some people can do is read the thread. That would save me time having to answer the same question over and over.

Installed.

It works a treat, but I get 3 welcome messages for the same new user.

I think thats in hand and something to do with a hook with vB having read through the post. It wasnt that hard really to read through the posts!!!!!!

Will wait and see what happens.

Meantime I can delete the other 2 welcome threads causing no hassle.

Cheers BBR-APBT (strange name lol)

Keep up the good work!

Thanks BBR!

Very nice mod :)

BBR-APBT, the fix for the known bug highlighted in your opening post will be released when vB have added a hook you say in the next vB 4 release? What about for those running the 3.8 series?

This plugin works like a charm on the 3.8.4 so far but I am guessing they won't be making anymore changes to the 3.8 series except basic bug fixes so I am guessing we'll have to apply a fix which requires a manual edit? Correct?

Can this pull a profile field and add it to the thread content ?

Thanks

In the release I am fixing to release in a few days. I said that before but I am no longer waiting on vBulletin to add the hook you will have to manually add it. Give me a day for testing I will have it released I been playing with it on my live site.
