I'd like to use that, but someone said that this plugin does not check an URL for size, so if someone posts a link to a large file, it has the possibility of creating a load on the server..

is that so?

just installed; am seeing this work when i link to an external board, but not when i link to another thread on my own board... any insight?

Id love to see this work for internal threads as well as external threads too.

This is a great mod.
But also a performance killer, I suppose.
