I guess I'm really new to this because I don't understand the instructions. I have imported the upload directory into my forum directory. And also moved the fluid.xml file there. I'm browsed to the location of the xml file, but it says:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

And if i try to add the product using the import product feature it says:

Invalid File Specified

Any, more in depth instructions on how to get this in, would be much appriciated!

You should upload xml file via browser, not upload it with images. In control panel in "styles & templates" select "download/upload styles", in field "EITHER upload the XML file from your computer" put that xml file from your computer, then click "Import"

I tried that and got:

Invalid File Specified

Try again. Maybe your browser or some tools you use messed up file. Redownload and unpack archive again to make sure you have correct files.

Okay. also, is this going to over write my original stuff?

CyberAlien 01-15-2007 05:48 PM

No, if you keep option "Merge Into Style" set to "create new style" (that's default value)

Great! Thanks for the quick reply :-)

All of the stuff I've changed to the orignal template are supposed to be gone? or is that something I did wrong again? IE: advertisements not showing. Thanks

CyberAlien 01-15-2007 06:07 PM

No, when installing new template it doesn't affect previously installed templates or default template.

edit: ...unless you managed to install new template over old one.

adnedarn 01-15-2007 06:12 PM

No, the original one is still fine. But the new one doesn't show the stuff that I've applied to my original. Is that correct?
Edit: also, I guess I put the upload folder in the wrong place cause I don't see the images in the new style. I uploaded it directly to the forum directory. Is that correct?
