Great hack

itsid 11-17-2006 01:34 AM

First, to let me start from the end again ...
to all:
Never ever flame to any coder within this thread!
If you donot like what psionic offers: Don't use it!
I didn't like his hide-hack, so I build my own,
I love his Adv.Ed.Options so I use it and respect him.

So please: stay off of this thread if you only intend to disrespect any other person!

Now I'm feeling better ;)

okay, what's next?

ga2000gt, You don't see hidden content in forumdisplay even if you thanked or replied? Is that what you're saying?
That's the way it works, because to simply hide the content is about 100lines less code, that's why hidden content is only available where it needs to be shown (showthread, showpost, printthread).
No preview is intended :D
same thing for newthread/newreply; you know what you're intending to hide whilst typing I guess, and because of the unfamous bunch of messie code wysiwyg produces once in a while it's easier to just not parse hide in any editor :D

MissKalunji, Shazz Ronak:
Yes the picture belongs to the hide-hack from psionic vision, to do ME a favour, please do not use this one for my hack, thanks alot

Ahmudem,
you will find that editor-image some pages ago (post#74 of this thread) you can set that in acp under "own vb codes" edit (hide-tag) you will see once you're there :D

RFViet, yes this WILL be fixed in the future.
I've just finished a very crappy code that makes the ajax-calls to refresh the posts you need to have refreshed, once I cleaned up that mess and did some improvements on handling (MSIE wont do at this very moment) and added an option in acp to disable ajax functionality for hide-hack I will update the first post with the new version.
BUT: This still needs some time, I don't like you to have my lousy crap on your forums, that's why I do my best to fix issues before you install :D
I'm sure you understand ;)

I like this hack because it's simple installation. I'll wait for that fix
