Does anybody know how you can get this to work right with a fixed width style. using the default vB theme. The navbar and footer always go out of alignment.

peterska2 09-04-2006 10:26 PM

What width are you using Gary? I'll check it out for you.

Well I wanted to use a fixed width of about 860 pixels to leave enough room for a side bar thats about 170 pixels wide . I will just install this on that fixed width new template I'll add for testing, then show you the problems via a link in a minute.

Sorry i was wrong, this does work fine. My mistake!

Checkout the fixed width style here for the time being, as I will be turning my default style over to this soon from fluid, then removing the other test template.

very nice work Kerry.

Glad to hear that Gary :)

Yeah good work, I had some other code I put together that was valid W3C and CSS for the Side Block Code itself. It must have been the <div> code in it that was messing up the side column though on the header and navbar on a "fixed" template width. Were as your updated code solved the problem. So I finshed up using your Left Side Block code to control it all and add the Left Side Block itself, then added my own custom blocks to your code that have that uses collasible blocks etc.

I was messing around for days trying to figure that problem out. Your code fixed it now, thanks! ;)

Great thanks! :D

How come the sidebar box and the top of the forums not line up? The sidebar is a line or two higher. Is there any way to fix this?
