Every free project out there that is anywhere near sucessfull has commercial components. Linux, postnuke, phpnuke, google, bitorrent, name it. No one does anything for free. Besides, what part of VB is free?

Also, nothing in the second half of the quotes applies to the V3arcade. I am suprised you didnt notice that when you highlighted them.

So let me ask you, are you using the V3arcade or just talking about things you have no first hand experience with??

I suggest you look around this website and you will find people that do things for free. Why do people keep saying that no one does anything for free?
I am talking about things I have first hand experience on.
I too am surprised you didnt notice what it says or are can everyone use the no branding feature?

No, you don't.
Support is offered to all, games depend on the author.

I don't quite understand how what you're quoting and highlighting applies to this.? The branding (and removal fee) really shouldn't be an issue as it doesn't affect the script's functionality. I'm sure I'm repeating myself here.. ;)

What does that have to do with what we are talking about...

I beg to differ.

See this is crap and it's starting to piss me off on here.

The staff here need to decide what the hell they are going to do with this site.

Why the hell should they take down vbAdvanced and v3Arcade when it is FREE for me to download and use.

Why does this site keep removing EXCELLENT hacks from this HACK SITE because they have a branding free option?

It just makes no sense. Why even have this site at all if you are going to reject some of the best hacks and MOST POPULAR hacks that people release?

I would love nothing other than to come to this site and have a COMPLETE selection of hacks to download whether they be FREE, Brand free option, or completey commerical.

Nothing in this world is free. If you want a LEGAL arcade, then you have to PAY for a game here or there, as of which is decided by the game author and not us at v3arcade.com, I might add. Similarly, additional links are added for some games because this is part of an agreement that we have with the author in exchange for offering them you guys to install.

It saddens me to see such an attitude here by some people that are showing us their true colours. The whole idea of premium games and the additional license was an attempt to find the happy medium between arcade scripts and game authors that a lot of people wanted. The $60 optional branding free option seems to have clouded many people's opinion of the system.. Believing that v3arcade is somehow against the spirit of vbulletin.org is quite rediculous.

It is not the branding free option that really bothers me - what bothers me is the fact that the author uses this site to corral people to his site, where you are required to give up personal info (a valid e-mail address, as well as the URL of your site) in order to open up features within the hack, and this seems to be a security issue. Then when people are at his site they are offered ways ot spend $ on or through the hack. THe hack itself is a tool to sell content (premium games). What other hacks on vb.org require a person to get a "license" from a third party, or allowed to sell things from with the hack itself?

We never removed vBadvanced or told him it couldn't be released here. We haven't removed the branding free text within the v3 arcade post.

I for one do not understand why this is even and issue for anyone. Pro Arcade came out yesterday and the main complaint it got was having no branding free option. v3 Arcade comes out today and has a branding free option and that as also been the main complaint related to it.

Both of them comply with vB.org policy.

So rather then attacking the authors of both of them look at this situation as giving you two arcade scripts to choose from.
