View Full Version : Horizontal Yes/No selectors in ACP

Andreas
11-02-2005, 10:00 PM
vBulletin < 3.5.1 displayed Yes/No selectors in ACP this way:

o Yes o No

while vBulletin 3.5.1 displays

o Yes
o No

If you prefer the old way, this Plugin is for you.

With the release of vBulletin 3.5.2 (which does have this as default again), I am withdrawing support for this Hack (not that I supported it anyway, lol)

Can you make them right aligned again as well, all the text and yes/no options are currently left aligned to their cells. :)

gotta ask this, is this only working if u have upgraded to 3.5.1??..as i expect a shitload of new stuff released on here will be marked up as 3.5.1, but may still work on 3.5.0

Andreas
11-03-2005, 03:22 PM
This will only work with 3.5.1
Wouldn't make sense on older Versions anyway, as they display o Yes o No by default ;)

Out of curiosity, will the style be reverted in 3.5.2?

Thx @Andreas for his help.

We figured out, that there is a problem, if you upload the entire zip-file of the board-software to the server and unpack the package direct on the server. Maybe he will publish the correction here too.

If you upload every file spearate via FTP, then the hack works as Anreas published it.

Actually rolling this change back. They look great vertically on the options page because that's much more consistent (and it removes some of the ambiguity about which radio is which option), but you're right about the permissions/groups of yes-no options at least.

There is only one file. Secondly it is a plug in. You upload it in the Admin CP. You do not upload it directly to the server so t speak.

Kirby, there one small bug when adjusting a single users permision. The Yes/No option are vertical but the defaults option is aligned vertically with the yes radio button.

very nice. i prefer the horizontal view.

ran into a small oddity. when both plugins are active, i lose some of the templates in the template manager. the templates are just not there. this doesnt seem to affect the forums at all. when i disable one of the 2 plugins (doesnt matter which one) all the templates return to the template manager.

When both plugins are active (http://hel-razor.servegame.com/images/bug/plugins_active.gif)

When one (or both) plugins are disabled (http://hel-razor.servegame.com/images/bug/plugins_disabled.gif)

I don't wrote any word about uploading the plugin-xml to the server via ftp.

This Plugin is For Yes/No radio buttins, not for Yes/No/Other Radio-buttons :)

Any chance of doing so?

@ murrtex
This works only on 3.5.1 not 3.5. When you are viewing the vbulleting options for example turning the radio buttons are used when selecting yes or no as to weahter your forum is active.

@Xplorer4x4:

Have to be liscened to post in the hack forum. Perhaps your running 3.5 and not 3.5.1?

Well, this hack could be done in a much better way, if Kirby wasn't running after making plugins over code hacks. However, I have not installed it yet, so I don't know whether there is a problem. :P

Andreas
11-12-2005, 11:42 PM
@Borgs8472
It should not cause problems with Template search or whatever :)
If you want, sent me an ACP login with an exact description of the problem and i'll take a look.

@Dark Visor
Sure. But File Edit are evil ;O)

@Murrtex
This Hack does not give you any selection, it just changes the layout of the radio Buttons from

o Yes
o No

to

o Yes o No
Really that difficult to understand?
