No, this hack is supposed to be quick and dirty solution to the problem. Besides, it was intended just for a back-to-english switch, nothing more :)

Thanks, I'm sure it will be much more popular now.

Edit: You think you can make available the previous hack instructions so we can remove the edits?, please?

Uh... No, because I don't have them. They are somewhere in the init.php file though.

]Find and delete this code:
if (VB_AREA == 'AdminCP')
{
$languageid = YOUR_LANG_ID;
}

Man ... The hack is not working for me ...
Same here.
Installation is ok. I set the language for admincp to english, and the default for forums is spanish.

Then i go to the forums, and change my profile to set the language to spanish. All is ok.
Then, i login into the admincp. Admincp is in english. That works. BUT... if i go to the forums when i'm still login in the admincp, the forums are back in english again. Even if i set the options from my profile to other language in the forums and not from the quick chooser in forum's bottom.

That's how it is expected to work... Because when you choose a different language, vBulletin changes it everywhere. I am going to see if there is a workaround, although chances are, there isn't.

Its not working in 3.5.4

My default language is Arabic, and I set the AdminCP language to English

Its still the default language which is Arabic

I logout then login, still nothing changed!

Any clue or workaround?
