I created it about 6 months back now after we lost our domain last time, and now we have a fair amount of active members. We recently had a new homepage designed that has brought in a lot more members too, and that has given us a great new look to the site

I really like the portal. Nice and simple. But the forum looks nothing like the portal. I suggest you work on trying to mimic the layout for the portal for the forums. Also, use the same shade of navy blue you use on your portal on your forums too.

yep, I agree with Tony
if you can carry over the look (layout/colors) on all your sections (forums/downloads/news/etc) ... your chances of increasing membership/viewers will increase
