Hello,

Wouldn't this cause problems with the forum sponsors modification? (I am just wondering.)

It only affects the last post column. If the forum sponsers one utilises the last post column then yes, that will be deleted, otherwise, no.

Some forums need to look more plain and focus on the discussions, not the users. :)

ive done this hack, only problem is got something strange going on with every other style other then the dafault VB one.

and it's counting posts and threads. The forum is new and has 1 thread with 35 posts in it.

After doing this mod, it reads 35 threads on forum home.

Is there another method to doing this without the errors?

This is certainly different. ;)

Although I don't understand why you would want to remove the last post info. Sometimes, it's nice to be able to just go to the last post in a thread, especially is it is a really long thread and you are trying to follow it frequently.

my problem is that on my site, we have a lot of forums. about 40 for different topics.

that's a lot of forums, so when you look at it, the page looks like it goes on forever.

If you take out the last post area, it shortens the length of the forums. Because when ever forum is active and being posted in... that link to the last post takes up a larger space then the forum would if it didn't show last post.

Nice template mod... i dont have any use for it but i find it very useful.

1 for any type of webmaster that doesnt like all the fancy stuff and want it plain simple

2 for sites that have a width of less than 800 trying to squeeze the forum in with a navbar on the side.

I might use this on my forum but I'm not decided yet :)

Great work! With the CSS mod (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91299) it's helped neaten up my forums no end:

This just remove the text itself, but the query to retrieve last post info still runs. How to remove that useless query as well in order to reduce the system load?
