Just say I have the following sites:

music.mysite.com
movie.mysite.com
game.mysite.com
Each of the sub-domains has its own forums using different databases. However, I want all my members to have only 1 account for all logins. Is this possible with vBulletin Board?

Is there a hack already made for this?

You would require custom coding for this, along with 3 licences as each forums content would be different, only the users the same.

Details of which version vB you would want this for would be needed, and I strongly suspect that this would need to be a service request as I believe it is a massive job.

There is a hack that gives a clue on how to do this, it's not has hard as you may think if you are creating new forums - however, it would be very hard if your forums already exist, with users and posts in them.

thanks peterska2 and Paul M,

First of all, we don't mind paying for 3 or more licenses. We are planning to do a fresh install on 3 systems. However, want a scalable system. We'd like to be able add extra forums (licenses) in the future if needed.

We are wondering how feasible it's to add extra forums in the future?

If there is no existing hack, roughly how much would it cost for requesting such modification?

If you take a gander over to the service requests forum and do a search in there, you might come up with some prices from previous requests. Obviously they will be for the old versions but it will certainly give you some sort of idea. Otherwise, I can just pluck a number out of thin air for you.
