Is there an easy way to show the number of New Posts right next to the link in the navigation?

Thanks, I would imagine it´s a simple code change in the template, since the functionality is already there in the new posts, a number showing of new posts since last visit.

I am also extremely interested in a simple number next to "New Posts." I used to have one on phpbb and have been looking for one in vB. It would be much appreciated.
