Hi,

I have the same problem as the user above: the random banner links to the toplist page.

G'day derekivey, I was wondering if you had managed to fix the problem with showing sites on the forumhome?

I have 36 sites in my toplist and I realised I was having errors on the the forumhome and it took me half an hour till i realised it was this hack causing the problems..

I have turned off the forumhome marquee till i hope it can be fixed..
Haven't got to it yet. Just leave it off for now and I will hopefully get to it after finals are over.

For the unserialize error, make sure you have added the cron job listed in the readme file that updates the rank cache, and if you did add it, try running it manually from the cron job page and see if the error goes away then.

mine is just stopping, like it will credit for the redirect but it will stay at a blank page saying in the title redirexcting while the load is done.

I am having that same prob and didn't see a fix.

Another Question--two actually--

1) Why would I have size limit error messages when I try to add or edit from toplist.php, but in my admincp, I can can add a site with the same image and it uploads correctly? I have tested numerous times now.

It's not userpermissions or size restrictions--I have checked both.

2) Why can I not get the rate button to submit on the Random Site? The ratings drop down works, but will not submit.

I am running 3.6.7 PL BTW.

Is there a way to require a recip? Possibly a bit of code that reads the "Added" page and scans for a recip link on the page, and denies the site addition if one doesn't exist?

Most TopLists work off of the principal of getting more IN links, and if there isn't a check for recips, it will get cumbersome to try to keep up with all of the links and checking to be sure they don't remove your link.

Just a suggestion.

Ok, so far I installed and everything seemed to be working normally, before I gave out the link I decided to test it.

So I setup a topsite and added the code on my homepage, but when I click it it constantly redirects...

And in the scheduler in the ACP, I looked in the readme as said before in this thread, and I did not see anything mentioned about varnames.

I am running vbulletin 3.6.8 just so you know.

the report site link doesnt work... for unregistered users

in acp only the can report site is enabled for unreg users (can edit etc.. is disabled)

it is clear that it cant work as is.. because there is no field for email & name etc...
but in that case the link should not be there...

it does work for regged users...

Yes I had the same problem on a fresh install...
it is because the toplist_in_redirect_url variable is not set.. thats why i does not appear in the ACP
there are 2 ways to solve the problem.. the first one is the most elegant..

open the database in phpmyadmin
then go to table : setting (probably vb_setting if you use a prefix)
there you go to the end of the table to the toplist settings.. and edit the setting: toplist_in_redirect_url .
Put in as value: index.php and as default value also index.php
now save..
go back to your acp.. and there should now be in options a new setting called: In Redirect URL
You can edit it now to whatever page you want... (I myself redirect users to the portal by putting in the full http adress)
You will not have to change anything when there is an upgrade..

Second Way to fix it quickly if you dont know what phpmyadmin is.. (only do this if you really dont know how to edit the database!!!!)
open template: Toplist_In
find:
$vboptions[toplist_in_redirect_url]
and replace with:
$vboptions

Attention when a fix is out.. you will have to revert the template..

Didnt check alle the postings in this thread.. but it seems that there is no setting for that..

if a user added a site.. he is redirected to the page where he can get his codes.... OK.. works fine
NOW if he is on that page AND refreshes it.. the site is posted again !!

A yes and encountered some problems (broken images) when the user posts a site and does NOT post a banner... (on edit site it still says "button:" with a broken image.. and on the list it tries to show a button.. but as the user has not posted one... its a broken image)

I've installed this and am trying to add a site, but I keep getting message saying that the image exceeds the width and height. I'm obviously doing something wrong. My image is tiny and I've changed the dimensions in "Toplist options" but it's still not working. Can someone help?

I have changed the pacth as required and my host suports .htacess and GD and it is chmodded 755

If i try to open the image.png in the browser, i get an INTERNAL ERROR 500

When I add a site it all works great and gives me a code to use as a link

however when the link is clicked it dosn't go anywhere
a blank page opens and says redirecting, then refreshes and says redirecting etc etc etc
the links still get updated on the site but no one actually gets access to anthing

Thanks Dude... I haven't really seen any bugs, I'm sure other have... but one 'feature' request :) (while your here, gotta ask) is disable columns, i.e ratings - ahh yes, i remember... site of the day...click it and it just takes you back to the toplist refreshed... one thing i noticed is the inordinate amount of time it seems to load my banners (468x60) they sluggishly load into the top list.... besides that bloody good :)

A few issues. Using 3.6.8 pl2, and I have working fine on my test site & my real site.... but

I saw this addressed on page 6 I think, but it was fixed via a PM... I have read all 1556 posts, so I know nothing was openly posted on what would cause 'if user does not upload a banner image' the word None does not show, and shows as a broken image?

I have setting exactly the same on both sites, one site shows None and the other site shows the broken image if the user does not use a banner image.

What could I do to fix this?

And what causes in the bottom browser window to show 'Done but with errors on page'?

Suggestion:
When someone clicks the link above "voting link", he should end up in a custom page with CAPTCHA image, then redirected to the page you set in your admin panel. It will be a protection against proxy votes.

Question:
All the script pages integrated with vbadvanced except the main page toplist.php, if I integrate it, I end up with a blank page with just the forum header/footer. Any ideas why!?

The reason is the browser is not parsing &amp; correctly.

I have played around with the product-toplist.xml but havent figured out a solution.
+ im busy.

However if you look at the html code,on forumhome you would notice it isnt parsing the image file path correctly.

Im not sure what the issue is, as since html 2 , &amp; is correct

So I am presuming its a VB query issue regarding [bburl]

That the system counts only 1 hit per user/ip.

Because this BUG makes it easy for cheaters. ^^
I?d like to use the "Ranking" listing, but everytime a user votes, his voice gets counted but a "undifined" message occurs. So a site with 4 votes does not top a site with only 2 votes. :)

i have it running on mine using 3.8.1 and it is running fine. Even had added features to it so it limits views to 1 per 24hrs period per ip.

Its showing that it is counting. just check your settings in the admincp for in hits.

Is anyone having the issue of of an X'ed image when a site is added with NO image banner uploaded?

It was working with or without a little banner now it has stopped and an image MUST be uploaded or the red X shows if the user does not include an image.

It was working so I can't imagine what happened?

Ok, Open add_site.php, edit_site.php, and toplist_admin.php (2 instances), and find a line like this:

if ($image_type == "image/gif" OR $image_type == "image/pjpeg" OR $image_type == "image/x-png")

Replace it with:

if ($image_type == "image/gif" OR $image_type == "image/pjpeg" OR $image_type == "image/png" OR $image_type == "image/x-png")
