I've noticed quite a bit of chatter over the SEO product that is over $100. Is is really worth it, or is there one that works just as well?

I don't mind paying the money - if it works.

It works. And how. I went from 40,000 pages listed to over 193,000 pages listed in just 3 weeks. My search engine ranking jumped drastically on many of my important pages as well. Adsense revenue also increased significantly.

Are you using the one that charges?

Also, did the increase pages listed increase your server resources significantly?

I'm using vBSEO, though I can't comment on results as my forum isn't open yet. However no longer than a day after installing it, spiders started to try and crawl my password protected forum.. My highest users ever went from 2 (me testing with 2 browsers) to 6.

This may not seem like a huge leap, but my test forum isn't even live and only 1 other person knows of the URL to bugfix a javascript error I was getting..

Yes. I am using the paid one - vbseo. And my server resources went up slightly, but nothing major.

Your boards are cool, Amy! I just spent some time clicking around!!

BTW, I see you're using the journal hack...is there a 'journal button' that shows up in a users post bit? (I know this isn't your hack, but I thought I'd ask...) :)

Heading over to look at your 'homepage' hack, right now...

The journal mod puts a link in the dropdown. And, I am not using the port that Kirby did. I ported it myself ages ago and never bothered to change over to Kirby's.

Thanks! One more q...

I noticed that you have adsense appearing in the first post of some of the threads that I viewed. Is that a hack? Can it be done to only have adsense appear in the posts in one SPECIFIC forum?

No. It's not a hack. It's a template mod that has since been posted here.
