What hack/mod is this??? I've searched all over and can't find it.

Click on a user to view their profile, what mod/s are they using? I realize it is vbadvanced, but there is a lot more going on there - anyone know what it is?

The link you posted is pullling up a standard member profile, but the link I posted above pulls up the hacked version.

Whatever hack it is, works by creating seperate user profiles based on the vB profile that exists. It ads in-profile pictures, comments, blogs, and a ton more. Another awesome feature is that it creates a short link to access the profile: ie : http://profiles.yoursite.com/membername

This can be achievend with a (simple) rewrite rule
As for the other stuff (except blog): custom profile fields and a bit of template work

Hi Kirby, if creating http://profiles.yoursite.com/membername to replace http://site.com/member.php?username=username is simple, can you write a tutorial/hack for this ? because I know there are plenty of users need this for their vbulletin.

Thanks for the response Kirby, but are you sure that's all there is to it? It seems like all of the changes are tied into one another, for example the user comments, option to "wink" at another member, and members can set the color of their profile as well. If it isn't a complete hack package, it should be.

Based on that link, there's most likely a new template as well, among other things.

Yes, it took a bit of searching, but I found him :)

I am currently debating releasing it for free, or selling it. My main concern is the minute I do anything, my website will lose anything that made it unique. It will then be just like any of the hundreds of myspace'd vbulletin sites. But, i havent ruled it out yet

I will help write an open source My Space style hack for vBulletin under the following conditions:

We have a TEAM of people who can develop: If I am not doing all the work, I will not feel upset with other people receaving my work for free. This team will need to be filled by people who are proficient in PHP and coding for vB.
We do this in Mambo: Mambo is the best solution for a MySpace style interface for vBulletin.

If I could get together a team of good developers we could release something in as quick as two weeks. I refuse to write this alone, spend my precious free time doing this, then give it away. With a team I would be more then happy to do so.

I do not want to release my version, becuase I wrote it with a friend of mine, and we wasted a lot of time writing this software. Plus, I do not believe that vBadvanced is the best CMS to do a MySpace styled vBulletin.

For examply, on my site there is NO vBulletin code changes made. Only a few small template changes, the rest are CMS modules.
