New Header?

I have revamped my site and Created a new header. I am going to upgrade my forum tonight and want to change the header so that is matches the rest of the site.

The first time I had a friend do this for me. Is there anything special I need to know? or do? I want the header and site to resize with each resolution and browser size so I dont.
